From now into April, we'll have a college football or college basketball game to watch every week. Hell, this is the last Saturday until April without D1A.

I'm so ****ing happy right now.

yeah, the good at basketball thing is a nice one. stretches things way out. i've always loved CU hoops but it was a bit of a lonely hunt at times. i don't watch much on the tellie anymore minus college football and hoops and while i love the game of baseball i've lost interest in MLB for some reason. i used to listen to the rox on the radio but no more. so, outside the golf majors, i'm doing other stuff on the weekends than sport tv come summer. i like the Nuggets but the NBA bores me with it's star player psychology.

It's probably because the Rockies have become a disgrace. I can't stand watching them anymore, and I'm about as big of a baseball fan as it gets.

not sure that's entirely it. the rox have generally been sort of mediocre with bad pitching. which, altitude or not, makes the game hard to watch for me. just MLB bores me. i like watching a few innings of HS or legion summer ball at Scott Carpenter Park in Boulder if I'm riding my bike past....much more interesting to me.

Haha, nice one DBT. But how the hell did this thread immediately become about baseball?

I love this time of year! Two full football seasons to look forward to! Good bye productive weekends!!!

100 times yes. College football and college basketball are the best. This is the best time of year for sports without question.

One thing I've realized is that the college football season, especially with a dearth of bowl games, goes in a flash. Eight weeks and you are suddenly in the last month of the season. It ALWAYS goes too damned quickly.
