What in the **** was he thinking? Dink and dunk and all runs off the center/guard? Absolutely pathetic.

you must have loved the jet sweep on 3rd down.

Yeah. What the hell was with Lindsay? He's got absolutely NO vision. On the kick return, there was a huge hole to left but he took it straight up the gut. Then on the sweep, all he had to do was cut upfield just outside the tackle, but he kept running laterally and got dragged down. F'ing unreal.

Meh. Things look a lot different from the stands (or TV) than being on the field, having to catch the ball, and then running at speed. Frankly, at this point after being beaten down for so many years, I am happy enough that he didn't fumble, and that we didn't have stupid penalties that made us start drives on the 3 yard line.

When it looked like we were going to roll he tried to make a statement at the end of the drive by stuffing it in with a run no matter what. McElwain ended up making the statement.

CSU was daring us to throw down field.

Of course, when you can't run and struggle to provide a clean pocket it limits your offensive options a lot.

Too early to tag him with the nickname Big Sky? Dude was at NAU as recently as '11, and that gameplan wouldn't beat Northern Colorado.

Lindgren looked like me as the OC for my middle school team last year...lol Run a bunch of deep routes and with a few routes underneath. I quickly found out a few things...it doesn't work. When you are inexperienced, you struggle to come up with plays quickly and come up with plays that switch up what the defense is giving you. Example: played a team that gave us the power all game long and I was try to throw the ball and get outside. We lost 36-6.

HCMM and his staff are in way over their heads and, like a several times last year, were like deer in the headlights. We were totally outcoached.

This is not going to help fund raising.

The call that absolutely killed us was a rushed 2nd and 3 call around midfield when we were up 17-14. Wasted play on a rush for no gain right into the center of the line. The terrible Lindsay sweep was the next play. Knew we were going to lose at that point.

What's really frustrating is we looked pretty damn good on a few drives, then just completely turtled. Maybe CSU made some adjustments, but a lot of playcalls just killed momentum. I also didn't like the RB rotation, taking guys out when they're on a roll. Putting Lindsay in for 3rd and goal, why?

Agreed. There were stretches where it looked like we had a good offensive strategy in motion but then we shifted gears and just started throwing **** against the wall to see what would stick. Very frustrating to see something promising completely unravel.

The second down play gave me that awful feeling. Why did they just do that? Third down call sealed the deal. Just poor decisions by OC.

This is was a critical moment in the game and coaching did not deliver.

At least we can stop with the nonsense that we are "deep" at RB finally. The group is just not very good.

Not specifically on Lindgren, but Sefo looked good last night. Comfortable throwing on the run, deep ball much better than I expected, mobile enough to get out of trouble, and able to pick up the 1st down with his feet. Good game to build on for the sophomore.

We're deep at RB this year the same way we were deep at QB last year. Lots of names on the depth chart and class balance. We need to stop equating that with "talented". It's natural to become familiar with our team's players, cheer for them and probably over-rate them some. Fact is, we have a bunch of guys at RB right now and no one has shown himself to be a weapon.

I think Adkins is serviceable, wish they would've stuck more with him last night. Both he and especially Powell are slow off the block though. Would really like get more of a look at Crowder and Creer. But yes, overall, pretty screwed at that position.

Sefo seemed to be putting the loss on himself last night in his comments by saying that he missed reads and it cost the team. I respect the leadership and love that kid. I appreciate guys who look to themselves, feel responsibility and focus on what they could have done better. But you're also right. While Sefo certainly didn't play a perfect game, I think we'd have seen a vastly better team performance last night if everyone had taken care of his own assignments as well as Sefo did.

Adkins is okay, but I think you were right on last night saying he looks stiff. No ability to make people miss.

Why I was on the Ballage bandwagon so hard last year. We don't have any I would put in the same class as Brown, Salaam, Bienemy or even Purify for that matter. Good kids but not in the same class. Of course it wouldn't hurt these guys to have some of the lines those guys had to run behind either.

I would be lying if I did not admit I thought we had plenty in the tank there. Kids from CSU at a whole different level last night per RB. Injury hurt us, and youth quite apparent also.

Couple of my game mates last night made the comment the team looked "stiff". Hearing that word again..... CSU definitely did not look stiff last night in contrast. They were having fun after the first qtr.
