I wonder if XJ has any thoughts of playing football. There's a bunch of former hoops players playing TE in the league now. XJ has the physique to do it. Maybe Wes Gordon, too.

We could use a good TE.

Yeah. It is. We're desperate. Despite times call for desperate measures.

I'm sure Tad wants his star player playing football, lol

It would free up a basketball scholarship. Just sayin'.

I know it's crazy and won't happen in all likelihood. The thought came into my head as I was watching JT tear up Indy's defense.

Maybe we can convert Talton too - he could our version of Darren Sproles!

Joking of course, would love a player half as good as JT at TE for the Buffs. Just don't think it's a guy on the BB team.

Didn't Barnett try to get David Harrison to play?

At this point it seems highly unlikely that you would go from a successful basketball team and play for a losing football team and risk injury. But back before, it probably wasn't as black and white.

In the case of a guy like XJ, he'll have an opportunity in the NBA if he continues to develop. For Wes, he's probably not an NBA prospect, so if he can make some money playing football... who knows?

Yes, let's cannibalize our successful basketball program's starters in the hopes one of them can play on our football team. Great plan.

YOU KEEP THE STINK OF THE FOOTBALL TEAM OFF OF XJ OR I WILL STAB YOU!

He could do it as a fifth year player once his basketball eligibility runs out...see Jimmy Graham or Johnathan Loyd (currently on the Ducks FB roster) as examples/precedents

I don't think we have targeted a TE all season, so even if we had XJ, we would not throw to him!

XJ is going to get paid, probably in the NBA.

Wes so far doesn't look like an NBA prospect but he is a big body with some athletic ability, he might get a shot. Even if he doesn't he is likely to be able to make a decent living playing in Europe after CU.

Why would either want to expose themselves to getting hit by LBs or DBs?
