Retiring Chauncey's number, good idea or bad idea? You decide.

99% certain that CU doesn't retire jerseys. They do "honor" them where they'll hang them from the rafters. And Chauncey's already up there.

Im pretty sure they did the "honoring" ceremony a while ago...I think it was 2005 vs. Texas A&M - I remember they gave out commemorative t-shirts to the student section (and maybe the public?) that night...

That was the game that drunk Goose almost got kicked out for screaming at Kevin Garnett for 20 straight minutes.

Another guy who needs to be remembered is Jay Humphries - a 1st round draft choice in 1983 or 84, now an assistant with the NBA Brooklyn team

Apparently he is out of the running, because he was never an All-American. How often is a #13 overall pick not an A-A? CU should bend their rules a little here

Yep. Said Shirt:

And KG was there because it was the same weekend as the all-star game and both he and CB were in town. IIRC, KG was booed pretty vociferously, and not just by Goose.

Yes, he should be honored. On the women's side for basketball, CU has only had one All American and I think there are three jerseys that are honored: Lisa Van Goor's, Shelley Sheetz's and Bridget Turner's. Only Sheetz was an All American.
