Was looking forward to seeing Houston play BYU. BYU is ranked #25 which I think is not justified. If they played in a P5 conference they would get beat fairly often.

That said they are doing well against a Houston team that doesn't have P5 talent but that does have some speed and plays an unconventional offense that can be hard to prepare for, especially on a short week.

So far BYU is dominating the game and is up 9-0 driving again.

In another game that is sure to add to the meltdown on the Texas boards the same North Texas team that blasted the Longhorns last week is down 21-0 to mighty Louisiana Tech.

How badly do you think the Whorns will get beat down by UCLA this week? Talk about your meltdowns.

It's really a shame that BYU brings the baggage it does because on athletics alone they'd be a perfect addition to the Pac-12.

North Texas beat down SMU, not Texas.

Correct. I got the beatdowns confused.

Had North Texas done it the meltdown might have taken Austin right off the map.

If this is any indication though SMU might be in for a season that makes our last year under Embree look competitive.

The AAC is not a power conference but they have some teams in it that can and will score points in bunches including this Houston team playing tonight. Just for fun SMU's next two games are against Texas A&M and TCU. A&M put up 52 and 73 in the last two weeks so good luck Mustangs.

Interesting turn of events.

BYU had a 23-3 lead and looked to be ready to blow Houston out. Last 5 minutes of the half Houston forces some turnovers and makes some plays including a spectacular catch in traffic in the endzone to score two TDs. Somehow they miss both XPs and the game is now 23-15.

Houston may have worse STs than we do. They also missed a FG because of a terrible snap and had a bad snap to the punter that almost resulted in a block. Somehow the punter stepped between two rushers and got a 34 yard punt off.

I'd give my left nut for a tough running QB like BYU's Taysom Hill.

Friday games.

Baylor working over the mighty University of Buffalo 28-0 in the 2nd quarter and they just dropped a pass that likely would have led to another score.

In the other TV game on right now Cincinnati is beating Toledo 41-21. Watching Munchie Leguex (sp) QBing for Cincinnati, not a star but a pretty good QB. Would he have made much of a difference had he ended up going to CU? Pretty decent game despite the score if you can tune out Hawkins doing the broadcast.

Gunnar Kiel is their QB.

Munchie was out their playing.

Munchie had a big injury last season and is still coming back from it. None the less he was playing at the time I made the post and looked pretty decent. Still a legit question how much difference he might have made had he come to Colorado. Of course you can't predict or project injuries but healthy he is what a lot of CU fans have been asking for, a threat to pass or run.

Also at one point Cincinnati was ahead 34-0. Toledo has now brought it back to 41-34. Would have been even closer, Toledo ran a trick play with a pass back to the QB after the handoff off the sweep. Ball was thrown perfectly but the Toledo QB Woodhead flat dropped it losing a sure TD.

should have seen the post before turning to this game. Serious flashback when I heard that haunting voice.....never disliked a "coach" more than that doosh.

For anyone wondering why so many people say

F*** Baylor

Up 49-14 in the fourth quarter they not only run hurry up they go for it on 4th and 1. End up tacking on another TD to pad the score.

Real class there from a good Christian based school.
