I don't want to over react to our showing against ASU because when it was all said and done, we lost. But I've gone from gloom and doom to actually believing we have a snowball's chance in 8 of them. We won't be favored in most, but I could see us having a shot. Now, I'm saying that based on a boost in "confidence" from the ASU game. That confidence could quickly come crashing down any given week. And this team will probably be maddening in inconsistency because of it's youth. In other words, I could also see them losing every game, :smile2:

Need to beat Hawaii and win 2 PAC games in order to show progress imo. Oregon State might be a must win game for CU

We will still have ups and downs, just the nature of a young team, even more so worth a team that has never really had success. But the fight that they have showed the last two weeks is something we haven't had from the team in a while. USC and Oregon are one's we have no shot in, but we have a punches chance at homeagainst the rest of the teams we play at home, plus Cal. Just keep improving every week so that 2015 can be the year we make it back to a bowl game.

You know, at some point this program is going to turn it around. It's possible that we could begin seeing that this year and still only win 2 or 3. I could see us going 3-9 but making a big leap forward next season. I base some of that on the weapons we are developing on offense and the game to game improvement of the young guys on defense. But we still have a lot of holes, especially in the trenches.

I could also see us getting a shocker win and just getting a huge confidence and momentum boost and beginning to roll.

A repeat post, but I think on topic. Looks familiar to me:

"Lost to CSU in 1986. Went 0-4. Then won 6 of our last eight and beat Nebraska. Lost to Oregon and AZ early. We kinda sucked frankly and I was wondering why I was dumb enough to pony up for tickets when CSU pounced on our untalented butts.

History often repeats though seldom looks exactly the same, but we have been here before.

We also won like 10 out of 12 against CSU and 8 straight after 86.

Just a bit of lore."

We shall see.....

I am just happy that I have went from "We wont't win more than one or two games this year!" After CSU, to "We have a chance in most games if they keep improving each game." That makes a much better season to watch instead of feeling hopeful we might keep it within three touchdowns each week.

I'm thoroughly impressed with the ability some of you have to produce kool-aid from the desert. I hope you're right!

Is thinking we can be competitive but will still prolly lose drinking Kool-aid? I think the difference between the last couple of years and this year is "hope." Some of us now have hope.

You're just jealous of my back 9

WTF? I think it's time for that pitcher/catcher, bull/cow talk.

Maybe your back "9" is some other poster's front "9".

[Strike]there is a thread about that very subject in Barzil2[/strike]

I've working with the assumption that that your front nine IS Pate's back nine.

Super-self-UBL, I realize.

That's why the "9" was put in quotes. I am flattered.
