$10,000 fine for CU head coach Mike MacIntyre for "inappropriate conduct towards the officiating crew" per the Pac-12

Had to be done but worth every penny... However this could be used as an opportunity to support the AD. Anyone interested in contributing to crowd funded donation to the AD to cover to the cost of the fine?

When do we get the tweet that that officiating crew has been asked to never again darken the door of a Pac 12 stadium?

I'm gonna go with... he makes a lot more money than me, he'll be alright. Howzabout I make an extra contrib to the facilities in honor of him bitching out the refs?

Yeah he's making about $1M per win, so I think he can cover it. I kid.

I wouldn't help him pay it because I don't really want to see him do that again. I'm glad he showed his passion and has the team's back but I would like to see him dial it back just a bit.

I am with you on this. I love the passion and I can see myself doing the same thing but It would be the wrong thing to do and it needs to hurt a little to learn that lesson.

Think of what Roy did for the Avs in his first game. He almost killed a guy defending his team. Got fined for it, did it only that one time. Team responding and emulated their coaches passion and desire to win. Worked out pretty well. Hope something similar happens here.

Pretty sure they set these fines up as charitable donations. No big deal. (Easy to say that when it's someone else's $10k. :smile2: )

Looks like it's not a flat rate fine to verbally abuse refs in the Pac12- that 10000 seems a little low. Makes me wonder if Larry Scott and company felt that there was some justification for Mike's provocation and sympathized a little.

I for one want to see one of our coaches jump a ref and beat him with a rock. It would of course be going to far and we'd have to fire the guy so I would prefer it was not Mac but sometimes in order to reset a situation like this you have to do something really over the top. Beat one ref with a rock and the rest will be a little more ****ing respectful when the Buffs take the field.

I ****ing cracked up at this one. Well deserved rep. Let's beat the refs with rocks!

I'd pay it in pennies for the penny-ante treatment by the officials. somebody call the Denver Mint and rent a truck.

I'm pretty sure these fines are also tax deductible. IRS and Charles Barkley are well acquainted with each other. Or should I say, were.

Keep it CU - marshmallow filled nails. We could let a section of the students in on it and then dismiss them from the game.

Doesn't Lynn Katoa have experience with that? We could hire him for one game and then fire him immediately.
