It seems like a long time since we've played in the friendly confines of Folsom field but that Buffs are back home (for home coming!) to face a Jekyll and Hyde UCLA team. Make no mistake about it the Bruins are good just sometimes they are very good and others well the are closer to above average. Add to that the zone read hasnt treated CU well over the years, and Hundley is a good zone read QB. For the Buffs to pull this one out they'll need to play mistake free football which for those of you who don't recall it but did watch the start of the USC game is pretty much the opposite of that. Vegas has UCLA as 2 touchdown favorites in this one as the Buffs look to bounce back from their worst showing of the year last week.

Kick-off for this one is noon MT, the game is on the Pac-12 Nets.
 
No slow starts, no turnovers, force some, be solid on 3rd on both sides, limit the big plays, stout in the red zone, etc.. We do all that, we should win lol.
 
Crawley seems pumped up and ready on twitter. I'll be really happy if everyone else is just as ready to go.

I watched the PAC 12 Networks "Classic" game of CU @ UCLA 2002. Back then, the Buffs played with swagger. We also played like Buffs. We were a smash mouth team with a bad ass hard hitting defense. The UCLA finesse offense had no shot and we ran it all over their ass with Brown and Purifoy. I can't believe I was a Junior in high school then and I haven't seen the Buffs play like that since that time.

I am sick of seeing our Buffs play as a finesse team. It's apples and oranges. Someone needs to figure out that we need to build a team like Stanford or even what UTAH has done!! Light a fire under these players asses and lets at least cause some ****ing pain! Win or lose, let's send a ****ing message! ARRGGGHH!!!

Anyways... I'm going shopping with my wife because I don't have a good reason to be at this game or watching from home. ****, that's sad.

Have no issue with us moving into the modern era in style of play. Guys can still play hard-nosed without three yards and a cloud of dust.

Have you watched college football lately? The SEC plays smash mouth football. They've dominated the NCAA and currently have 5 teams ranked in the top 10 in the country.

Regardless of any era in football. Winning teams know how to run the ball and play defense.

Forget the SEC. Look at UTAH!!!! Have they out recruited us by so much that they have elite talent? No, they run the ball and play good ****ing defense. This **** isn't rocket science!

We are not going to "out athlete" USC, Oregon and UCLA (much less CSU). But we COULD hit em in the mouth and run over their asses if we made the decision to make a real change.

Mac is a good guy and coach. I like him. I know he's limited with the players he has. But he never said his goal was to turn us into a running team.

I'm tired of watching this pussy ass football! So I'll be checking in from the ESPN app on my phone. At least my wife and I will be able to pick out a good wall paper. I'm hoping we make it to Bed, Bath and Beyond, but I don't know if we'll have enough time!!!

Auburn, Ole Miss, Miss St, Texas A&M all run shotgun spread type offenses. Again, you can play hard-nosed in a modern offense vs FB/TE heavy offenses.

Good luck getting the BB&B. Hopefully you regret not catching the game which means CU won. :gobuffs:
 
Our Defense sucks, Baer needs to be fired right away and his duties given to someone else. cant be any worse
