10/28 Injury Report

Thought pow was cleared?

Pow has had enough of them that it would make sense to be extra carefull with him. As I stated elsewhere I think he should go find a couple of independant brain injury experts and take a serious look at the consequences before continuing his football career. His style of play seems to lend itself to a lot of hard hits to the head.

The DB situation is getting critical.

Bell and Mosley gone for the season, Tedrick and Terror with concussions last game. Expecting to see a lot of White and could see Moeller getting some snaps as well.

Notice that Walker didn't play again on last Saturday (at least I didn't see him). Wonder if the Yuri/Walker FB storm has those two guys sidelined. Would be nice if those guys didn't get involved in that type of side-show, we could really use them both right now.

Sadly, I have this feeling that with a healthy secondary we would win this game, but with the banged up safeties out, I think we will once again come up painfully short.

What??

This is tough. Last year the staff did a great job reducing games lost to injury. This year it appears to be up. Any ideas on why?

Probably a number of factors, luck being one of them.

A big one might be the fact that we are playing "full games" this year. Last year we had a lot of games that were effectively over early in the game. Both teams kept playing but the intensity level of play was naturally lower. We also were seeing other teams young players in the second half meaning that we also saw guys who were less physically mature.

Overall this could mean that the intensity of the hitting was down and our guys were less likely to be extending themselves fully on plays.
