Auburn game time

yup. part of the 24-hrs of basketball thing on espn. (don't watch though... per flounder)

I explicitly said "unless the buffs are playing"!

So ha!

Turn your to ESPN at 11:00pm then turn it off right when the clock hit 0:00

Don't like the start time but the crowd is going to be drunk and rowdy, and it's also a game on an ESPN network so it's great for recruiting. If taking on a ****ty start time is the price we have to pay for more national exposure, I'm fine with it. At least it's not at 3AM.

Yeah, I just wonder why they don't do it on a Friday night.

Because they'd have to start on Thursday night - which still means missed work. Unless you want to start Fri night, which then means it gets overshadowed by football.

It's perfect as is IMO. Gives us some great marquee games Tues night when there's normally nothing on.

This time of year, football pretty well overshadows everything. Starting at mid-day Friday and running for 24 hours would be cool. I'm a working stiff - I'm not staying up for these games, and I'm sure I'm not alone.

I am hoping people want to go just for the experience. CU has never been part of typing marathon as far as I know our start a game at 11pm. Wear a onsie to the game, go in to work late the next day, just enjoy the unique opportunity .

I wonder if there's a way admins can disable auto-correct for this site. It causes more problems than it solves.

Hope the boss doesn't get pissed on Tuesday when he finds me sleeping at my desk!

From the attendance stand point, I hope you're right. I live in the central time zone so I'll be setting the dvr and watching the game the next day.

If I lived around the boulder area it might be worth the zombie effort work day just to be a part of this (in person). We have come a long way in a few short years.

I think a lot of people are just surprised -- we don't see tip offs at this time. but, consider this: if you live near Boulder and go to the game, you're probably home and in bed around 2AM. Think about it in terms of how many other things in your life happen that keep you up until 2AM on a work night:

- fighting with your spouse
- makeup sex with your spouse
- Netflix marathon
- live music event
- sick child
- finishing a work presentation or report
- fantasizing about the batista/waitron who served you today
- compulsively watching Asian stock exchange tickers
- finishing a book that you're just a few score pages away

AD is offering $5 student tickets to the game Monday night for students that do not have the sports pass.

Free shirt for the first 1000
Free sandwich from Half Fast
Free energy drink

Tad wasn't kidding when he said he wanted 5000-7000 students there that night. Atmosphere could be nuts

Managed to find takers for my two extra tix (my 74 year old dad wasn't having it). Psyched, should be fun...

The Junta* is efforting on this.

Trying to figure out an exchange so that season ticket holders can get our tix to students if we're unable to use them.

*By Junta, I mean Goose. Not sure if he was able to get this worked out or not.

Also, please remember this message from the CU AD and an option we have to find or exchange tickets:

This is going to surprise you, but in 40 hours since I reached out I have yet to hear a response.

Yep

This game is going to be packed and the student's are going to be drunk and rowdy. Can't wait.

What an atmosphere it will be on a Monday night!!

Lots of sleep tonight in order to survive the next two days.... Class and study tomorrow, then Boulder dinner and CU Mens game tomorrow night, then 3 a.m. work on Tuesday... then soccer to watch on TV starting at 10 a.m. after work.... Tuesday sleep?

Going to be a fun night in Boulder. Planning Wyoming trip for Saturday.

I hope the students show up. I have a test right before the game and a test the next day. There are no excuses. Study before. If the Drexel game is a good measurement for the rest of the season, I think we should be pretty happy with the student turnout this year.

you do realize that it only matters what you do if you have a neilsen set-top box right?

I have already informed the people in my office that I'll be coming in around 10:00 AM on Tuesday.
