Mariota is expected to win, but think my vote would got to Amari Cooper.

I'd go with Mel Gordon. Last weekend was an anomaly as far as production goes, and probably ruined he chances, but for 12 games, the guy was incredible.

Typed with thumbs.

You guys are overthinking this one. It's MM and really not that close.
I think it is close. Arguably the strongest group of finalists in years. I have no issues with any of the three winning because they all are great players who elevated their teams a few levels.

Don't get me wrong, they are all great players, but I just don't think the voting will be very close on this one. I'll definitely give you your rep if I'm wrong.

I'd say Mariota is the best qb in the country but I'd say Cooper is the best player in the country. That said, think Mariota gets the nod.

I think Mariota wins it. Without him, Oregon doesn't win the PAC and may not have even won their division. He was running for his life for the first 8 games of the season because he didn't have an offensive line. I don't think it should be close either, although I could see Cooper getting more than a few extra nods simply due to the fact that he plays in the SEC...

Not sure how it can't be Marcus Marriota. Kid is the most electric QB I've ever seen. Even better than Cam Newton.

Hard to argue with Amari Cooper, though.

QB is the most important position in all of sports, and Mariota is exceptional and is largely responsible for the Ducks success. I don't see anyone coming close.

Just how much could you care less?

Obviously enough to post in this thread after opening it.
Good point. I could not care less. To me, it just seems like the award has gotten kind of hollow and is reserved for a skill position guy. It has gotten to be kind of symbolic of the over hyped, media driven college game altogether.
