I'm not going to go call him names or anything like that but his head is not in the right place right now.

This is a team he should have dominated against, small and not overly talented inside.

They did the one thing they could, they pushed, shoved, and grabbed. Instead of using it against them by being aggressive and racking up a bunch of fouls and free throws against them he got timid and took himself out of the game.

I don't know what Tad tried to get him out of the funk and aggressive again but it didn't work.

Josh and Tad are the reason we lost. He did play soft. He also wasn't prepared to be fronted by CSU. That's his fault and tad's fault. He also failed to convert a couple close shots he did have. Scheming doesn't make him miss those. Blame is on both.

Josh should be able to deal with getting fronted. He's got to fight for post position.

Also, our guards did a **** job of creating angles for post entry. I put that on Tad since it's been a problem every year.

Yes. Our guards are horrendous at entry passes. With post players like josh and Wes (hell and XJ), they should spend 15 min per practice on entry passes. With active aggressive defenders. Practice all-American type defenders.

Josh looked like he had the flu. He was turribul.

And is Dom Collier still on this team?

Dom strained ligaments in his left wrist. In a cast tonight. Will miss UNCo game. Hopeful to play in the Maui Invitational.

We can bitch about the offense.

We can bitch about the guards.

It's valid.

But the bottom line is that Josh has got to dictate to the defense, not the other way around. CSU was fronting and giving backside help against Josh on the block. Instead of fighting for the position he wanted and taking what he is supposed to own, Josh allowed himself to get frustrated on the block.

He ended up taking what the defense gave him and got most of his touches around the 3pt line. He settled for trying to get his points playing a face-up game. And he allowed this to get in his head to the point where he didn't do much on the glass.

Josh is better than that. Teams are going to follow this game plan against him. He has to decide whether he's going to assert that he's the alpha dog who eats what and when he wants or whether he's willing to play the type of game opponents want him to.

At least Josh didn't accumulate a bunch of fouls.
