I really encourage you guys to watch his highlights all the way through.

My first reaction was that I saw a picture of a skinny kid with a non-P5 offer list and wasn't all that interested. Nice that he's stopping by and all, but probably someone who ends up in the MWC.

Then I saw the highlights. This kid is talented. Much faster than I expected. Actually plays safety for his high school. And impressive ball skills. Goes up to get the ball at its highest point, even through contact. Willing blocker, but that will probably never be his strength.

Anyway, I won't be upset at all if the Buffs decide to offer Rice. A year more of HS and then a year in CU's S&C program to put 30 lbs on him and this kid could be a really good Pac-12 player.

We've looked at a few guys who are more in the mold of a receiving tight end as opposed to the classic blocking tight end this cycle. Wouldn't be too upset about landing any of them.

Come on nik I tweeted that yesterday!

All joking aside, Rice is a good kid. I hope he gets an offer from CU or CSU.

:smile2:

I'm trying to give the impression that I do more than follow your twitter feed and regurgitate on AllBuffs.

Interview with Rice on his visits to the Front Range. He said CU/CSU told him he'd be a "fall eval" kid and Wyoming wants him to come back for an official visit. Sounded like he really likes UNLV, but will wait to see if more offers come in this fall. Rice said he's more of a pass-catching tight end, but he's not afraid to block.

Wonder if we might see a late offer here. Gorney from Rivals mentioned him recently as a standout amongst several No Cal games.

Senior highlights are similar, but compare favorably, to Tyler McCulloch's senior film. If the coaches fell in love with what a big receiver can do out of the slot like reports have said, it would make some sense. The inability to attack the seam in 2014 was a glaring weakness.

SJSU had a really good receiver that was listed as a TE but played split out like Tyler. I know he was drafted, I think by SD?

Does Justin Jan make an offer to Rice redundant?

 I think what you get from Jan and hopefully flipping Tuli covers whatever you'd get from Rice; not to mention we hopefully get to see what Keeney actually can be in this offense. Jan doesn't give you the same height as Rice, but gives you a tough physical inside receiver to to exploit the seam and pockets underneath defenses, essentially what Josiah Blandin was going to be.

Makes sense to me. Just hope the Tuli flip actually happens (looks very good obviously). If that somehow goes the wrong way, maybe Rice is the backup plan?

Did we go after any JC TE's? Is it possible that Connor Center is developing?

Without seeing this kid in person, it's hard to judge the ever-important bone structure. He'd have to bulk up pretty good to be a TE, but he's certainly got the athleticism to play there.

Connor center is a freak of nature. Sky's the limit for the kid.

Jared is one of my favorite prospects. I think he could be a big time TE. Really hoping we get him.

Hasn't heard anything from either of the Colorado schools of late
