He actually had good things to say about Walters in a Rivals interview a couple weeks ago.

It's been a long time since CU has pulled a high-rated guy like this from Texas. Would be a great sign if the staff could make it happen.

Rivals picked him as the "Biggest Disappointment" at Semper Fi. Some positives within that review, though.

Strickland was the highest rated receiver in the event, but he hardly practiced and didn't play in the game. The Texas Tech commit sat out Day 2 with a leg injury and never returned to action. On Day 1, though, Strickland was probably the best route-runner and showed a natural feel for the receiver position. He takes long strides and makes it look effortless, which had some coaches on the West squad questioning at what percentage he was actually running. He has the size and hands to be a nice weapon in college, but the small sample size left many wondering what could have been.

Announcing tonight between Cal, Texas Tech, and UCLA. Cal seems to be the popular dark horse pick right now.

Big pickup for Cal

Pierre Ingram is a very interesting assistant to me. He appears to be Cal's ace recruiter and he seems to bring with him decent relationships in Dallas. Also seemed to think he had Cal's RB's playing well. Would seem to be a perfect RB coach to me.
