One of the more questionable moves by Embree was when he cut Olatoye and Nobriga from the team during spring practices. Or maybe I'm stating that wrong. Cutting was understandable because they weren't responding to coaching from the new staff, so the "move" wasn't questionable but the inability to reach these two guys we needed (along with DE Forrest West who transferred to NC State) was a questionable part of the tenure.

Anyway, good for Deji. I always thought he had the tools to succeed.

deji, liloa, vigo, josh and orms tested + for herb...were given the choice to work their way back or not...some stayed, some moved on

Agree or not, there have been guys that have been kept in the program and given multiple chances for a host of infractions under the current regime. Different way of doing things and I'm not sure which one is the right approach. I've seen both work. My point was that the previous regime was unable to reach those guys and we could have certainly used their talents. Also, Cool Hand Luke got it right with "some men you just can't reach". Current regime couldn't reach JT but seem to have gotten through to Samson.

I still remember the Blowhio St. game and still don't know what he was doing. Anyway, good for him, hope he gets a spot.

agree with you buffnik...happy for deji as he always had the athletic ability...he was a classic late bloomer in HS [Columbus ohio area]...flashed some good stuff while at CU..just wasn't consistent..liloa was a stud also..saw the field as a true frosh--orms getting pinched was a head scratcher...kind of ironic as colo is a trailblazer when it comes to the product now ! deji and liloa could have really helped the D !
