Based on his twitter profile pic, I think CU is in good shape here.

MaxPreps has Fink completing 66% of his passes as a junior for 10 TDs and 3 INTs. He also rushed for 725 yards with a 9.7 YPC average and another 10 TDs.

Lindgren, LaRussa and MacIntyre are all following him on twitter.

I think he's by far my favorite QB prospect in CA this cycle, outside of Henry and Kostello. Fink already visited UW so we might have some ground to make up, but it's still early.

I actually think Costello is very overrated. Think he is benefiting from a relatively weak QB class. Fink looks to have big upside to me, exactly the type of QB we should be recruiting.

Agree that Fink has a ton of upside. I'd be smitten if we got him as our QB.

Disagree on Kostello  That dude looks like a young Elway imo. My only issue with him is why isn't his team winning some more games. But I also don't think he's really a finished product at all. If he goes to a place that develops QBs well he could be a monster. I think he'd be safe at USC or Michigan, but I'm not sure on Stanford yet. Can't tell if that's a Hogan issue or a Shaw issue.

Found it interesting Fink was accompanied on his Junior Day visit by Jake Browning for part of the time. Basically addressing the elephant in the room right away.

Added a bunch of new offers: Cal, Notre Dame, Utah, Wazzu, among others. We're going to have to really step our game up here if we want to land him.

I don't get the feeling that he'll commit to the Trojans. Last I heard he wants to wait a bit before making an announcement. I'm sure he's aware of the two guys SC signed last class, and there's a couple (class of 17) big names at QB who are currently SC leans. He doesn't really strike me as someone with the confidence to block that out unlike Costello and the usual big names that've been hyped a year or two before their senior season.

I think he's gonna play out the process and let some more OOS offers pile up, then pull the trigger.

Perhaps, he seems pretty set on staying in California judging by his updates, though. If you guys don't get Fink, do you think you just wait until 17 for Martell and the Hawaiian kid?

That's how I hope it plays out. I think a QB this class is a waste of a scholly. I like Fink and his upside, but I don't see him as a better prospect than Darnold from the last class or Tate Martell in the next class.

It's widely accepted that you take one QB in every class. I agree with that sentiment. Too much can happen to destroy depth. One injury or transfer and you're in a world of hurt unless you keep plugging guys into that pipeline.

USC is a different animal though. Three underclassmen QB'S who were 4*/5* plus Kessler. They don't really have issues there and don't have to take another QB this year.

Definitely improving his stock:

Rivals still has him as a 3* but #12 QB-P
Scout raise him to a 4*, #16 QB
Rated as a 4*-85 grade on ESPN now. #2 Dual Threat QB and #44 overall.
247 has him as a 4*-89 grade, #10 Dual Threat QB and #355 overall.
