So, the Buffs try to follow up their BIG win last night against #1 seed and 8[SUP]th[/SUP]/9[SUP]th[/SUP] ranked Oregon State with another tough challenge tonight against #4 tournament seed Cal.

In their one meeting against a very athletic and quick Cal team this season , on the road in Berkeley ~2 months ago, (post game article here- http://www.cubuffs.com/ViewArticle.dbml?ATCLID=209836489&DB_OEM_ID=600), the Buffs lost 75-59, as they couldn't handle Cal’s swarming full-court press and committed 23 turnovers, and Cal had 20 point break points and 52 points inside the paint. That loss shouldn't intimidate THIS Buffs team NOW, however, as their 4 worst conference losses this year (all >=15 points) were to USC (twice), OSU and Cal, and they've already earned sweet redemption against two of those teams in this tournament.

Television- On all 7 Pac 12 network channels.

Streaming- It’s evidently a FREE day for Pac 12 network streaming, so even if you don’t have the Pac 12 network as part of your cable/satellite subscription, or don’t have TV at all, you should be able to view the game for free through http://pac-12.com/network/pac-12-network .

Audio- In the Denver area, 760 AM I assume will be carrying the game (as they have all Buff games during the year), beginning with the pre-game show, which usually has started 30 minutes before game time. (Unlike the regular season, I’m not seeing a link on cubuffs.com to stream the audio of the broadcast, so don’t know if that’s an option or not.) Edit- there is live audio link now- at
http://www.cubuffs.com/mediaPortal/player.dbml?&id=1343177&catid=0&KEY=&DB_OEM_ID=600 .

Live stats- Should be available when the game starts via a link at
http://www.cubuffs.com/liveStats/liveStats.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=600. Edit- corrected live stat link- http://stats.statbroadcast.com/broadcast/?id=82602

Finally, for those in the Seattle area who want to socialize with fellow Buff fans before the game (including it sounds like the AD?, times in the tweet are of course Seattle’s PT)-

Good start for the Buffs early, with Cal cold- 10-3 Buff lead leads to a Cal TO. Reese with 6 points already.

15-8 CU with ~11 minutes left. B. Thomas with Buff's 1st 3 of the game the most recent score.

Jesus. I just turned this thing on, and Cal scored 8 points in like, 30 seconds of game clock.

Cal trap causing us some problems. But only picking it up at half court right now

Yep- the Buff points seem to be giving up their dribble up top without having any good pass in mind and then getting a tight double with at least one of the players being long.

Buffs not shooting nearly as well as the earlier games this week. Probably lucky to only be down 5- 25-20 with ~3:30 left.

It's ugly.

Also, I don't have a problem with the flagrant on Bri. However, where was the foul when Lexi was blatantly kicked in the face last night (the announcer's crap about needing to kick your legs straight up in the air to stand up fell short) or on the running body check that Cal threw earlier in this one?

Refs continue to be inconsistent at best. Not that buffs were doing themselves any favors, but Cal getting away with a lot of contact in the press, and any time we drive

Cal gets away with a lot, been this way for years, kudos to them I guess if their pressure defense doesn't get called for a lot of rough stuff.

29-23 Cal at the half. Buffs will have to shoot better to have any hope. They shot over 50% from 3 the last 2 nights- they're 1-8 tonight (with most being decent looks). Also, the bigs have received a few passes in relatively good position, and have hesitated, losing the good shot opportunity.

Also a few huh??? passes leading to bad turnovers, although overall I guess only being down 8-6 in the turnover stat is better than I would have thought it would be.

Ugly half. We're well within striking distance. Unfortunately my worry here is that we're now in the second half of the semifinal. This is where our playing USC in the First Round can start to come back to bite us. It's going to take one hell of an effort. Keep fighting, Buffs

Buffs need to hit some shots.

Biggest concern for me, though, is that Boyd is simply on another level out there. That girl can play the point.

Thanks for some great memories this year Buffs- showed especially great late in the year, and fought hard tonight.

Wish the 3 seniors only the best in their futures- they will be missed.

Very proud of how this team finished the season. Hold your heads high, Buffs. I hope our men's team can match your incredible determination in their Pac12 tournament, you've shown how it's done. It's a crying shame the Buffs can't get a WNIT bid as there's not a doubt in my mind they're a better team than many who will be in it. Just goes to show how every game matters. That silly loss or two you pick up somewhere in December can come back to haunt. Next season is huge for Coach Lappe and this program. It looks like we can take a major step forward and it's at the point in Coach Lappe's tenure where this needs to happen.

Good thing is she has a top notch recruit class, including what should be the next great point guard and a fellow back court mate duo, in Kennedy Leonard and Alexis Robinson.

Haven't had a point since Chuckie left and now there are two good ones on board.

This team left everything on the court last night. They wanted it, but it was not to be.

Thanks for the memories, especially the seniors.

We do need a true point guard and I do hope the two incoming freshmen are capable of playing immediately.

Boyd was playing at another level and there was no stopping her last night.

I agree about the foul calls being totally inconsistent. I think part of it is that CU and Lappe get no respect from the officials but I don't understand why.

I was more impressed with how well the Buffs were playing in the game I saw last night than at any other point in the past couple years. Cal is a legit Final 4 quality team playing its best basketball and the Buffs hung. Such a shame that the season's over because Lappe's team is better than around half of the teams that will be participating in the NCAA tourney.

One big difference I hope they stick with next year is the zone defense. It's a better fit for the personnel. Sure, you give up some open corner jumpers and there are always holes in a zone there aren't against man defense, but if you don't have athleticism advantages across the board it also covers up for a ton.

Anyway, they were fun to watch in March. Sucks that it ended too soon. Thank you, seniors.

Yup. Given the way they ended, just change one of those early losses (like the 1 point OT loss in Boulder to Western Kentucky or the loss by 3 at Mizzery) to a win and they are at 16-16, .500 for the season, and they would surely get a WNIT invite. And I would suspect they would do quite well in the tourney. Coaches can use this example early next season to get the teams attention about how important every game is.

Games against Western Kentucky or Missouri should not have ended in a loss. Hope the returning players learning their lessons about doing the little things in every game.

I saw the game against Iowa in person and they never had a chance in that game. Between a serious discrepancy in the number of fouls and Iowa's 3 point shooting, we were never in the game.

In the last few weeks, the team played it's best basketball. Now it's on to next year.

Not just as a team, but it was clear that individuals improved a lot over the course of the season. Swan became a "go to" alpha dog, which she wasn't early in the year. Lexy figured out how to quarterback. Reese developed a quick-release mid range game instead of being so deliberate like she'd been previously in her CU career. Haley turned into an aggressor who now looks like she can lead the team in scoring if Swan doesn't. Becca gained a lot of confidence and control. And Huggins seemed to find her role.

Important offseason, but I'm confident that these players are getting coached up.
