Athlon put together the following panel:

Anthony Herron, ESPN/Pac-12 Network
Pat Forde, Yahoo!
Scott Wolf, LA Daily News
Dennis Dodd, CBSSports
Dan Rubenstein, SB Nation
Stewart Mandel, Fox Sports
George Schroeder, USA Today
Ryan Abraham, USCFootball.com
Bryan Fischer, NFL.com
Braden Gall, Athlon Sports/SiriusXM

and Boulder crushed it.

Boulder, Colo. If you like the college town lifestyle, then there are few places in the world more perfectly suited for you than Boulder. Just north of Denver, the great outdoors offer more to do than nearly any place in the country. It got six of the possible 10 first-place votes. Craft brews are plentiful, the people are laid back and the scenery is second to none. When it comes to realignment, few towns fit in better with their new league than Boulder. - See more at: http://athlonsports.com/college-foo...ollege-towns-expert-poll#sthash.bJuRcVpd.dpuf

Having Denver nearby probably helps. Most of the cities in the survey are either small towns located a long way from major urban areas, or are in major urban areas themselves. Boulder does a nice job of combining the two.

The Pac 12 has some great locations.

Having said that, why was this even a debate? Duh.

I'm more interested in the panel's conclusions regarding the most morally casual coeds. Perhaps that can graph the towns on the "willingness/hotness" scale.

This is much higher praise than being number one in the big 12. That was really just a two man race.

if Austin qualifies, what the fucjk is their definition of "town". by reckoning, calling Boulder a "town" is a stretch. Austin has close to a million bodies living there.

Edit: well, screw it, apparently Seattle and LA are towns also. I guess in Anthalon's world, the only US city is New York.

Don't get so hung up on the word town. Just use destination of it makes more sense in your head.

Here this from the article:

So we had some fun asking Pac-12 experts to rank their favorite Pac-12 LOCATIONS

If publishing a piece related to institutions of higher education, basic understanding of vocabulary is not an unreasonable expectation.

Considering these same "experts" said this
The fall from national championship to 10th in the Pac-12 took less than 30 years for Colorado. Most of that stems from lack of support from the administration. The facilities are in desperate need of upgrading and support for the head coach has been questionable in recent years. That said, if new rounds of upgrades to all of the above were to happen, it could help the Buffs return to relevance
when ranking our coaching job, I don't care for their opinions. I think they live in 2012..

Four voters didn't even have Boulder on their ballot? Assholes! And unlike the Pac 12 poll, LA got no love, haha.
