Hoiberg to Bulls?

Sounds like the Buffs will get a bit of a break in their opener against Iowa St. They still have several quality players though.

All reports here in Iowa are that the Bulls will announce Hoiberg as their new coach on Tuesday. He's supposedly meeting with his players today. Bummer for Cyclone fans.

Big boost for game #1. ISU has talent, no doubt, but Hoiberg was working some magic out there in ames

Hearing they'll announce Holberg today as Bulls HC.

Still, 1 of the best returning starting 5's with Niang, Jameel Mckay, Monte Morris & Naz Long.

A lot of people are knocking Holberg's postseason record but winning two BIG 12 titles in a tournament that's notoriously skewed in Kansas' favor should be factored.

Rumors have it that larry E (yes, that larry E) is on the list of potential hires.

Oh yes please

Eustachy with that roster? Damn. Guy is slimy but he could coach the hell out of the talent in Ames. Top ten team in Ames. And I'll say this and gladly eat crow if it turns out otherwise but they are going to smoke us next year. They hammer the three which we can't seem to defend, their pg and pf are all Americans and their 4/5 is one of if not the best defensive player in the nation. And the game is essentially an ISU home game.

Say he likes the run and gun that Hoiberg used. Players that were shown on tv said they liked what he said at their first meeting. He's got good players for this year at least as Hoiberg liked bringing some players in for one year.

I suppose Iowa State is an upgrade from CSU. It would also let him back to the KSU fraternity row. He likes it there.

Jon Rothstein ‏@JonRothstein 28m28 minutes ago Iowa State's Steve Prohm will retain T.J. Otzelberger and hire Loyola's (Chicago) Daniyal Robinson as an assistant, source told @CBSSports.

This is Robinson's 2nd stint in Ames. Very good recruiter

Otzelberger applied for the job and did not get it. He was key in recruiting. Wise choice to keep him around and players on board. Hilton Magic will still be there.
