Fun title aside, if this track holds, Ignacio will be almost certainly be broken up by the giant volcanoes on the big island (happened last year, iirc). However, this should/could still play merry hell with travel and weather at game time. I'm not going to worry too much about a direct hit unless it dips south. That's the classic pattern for hurricanes actually doing damage to Hawaii.

I was unaware there were hurricanes in the pacific this time of year. Forecast is calling for lots of rain. They are leaving tuesday so I wouldn't anticipate much happening other than a delay. Unless of course this thing gets huge and does some real damage.

if the game was cancelled it wouldn't change anything, we would have 12 straight games and have to win 6 of them to get to a bowl.

Except if we lose to Hawaii we have to go 7-5 in the next 12. If we don't play them we have to go 6-6

No idea if the storm impacts the game, but with the flight scheduled to land Tuesday morning, the Buffs travel schedule could be drastically altered.

It'll all be good.. weather will be gone by game day/time. Travelers are going to see some ****.

It's assuming the hurricane remains going in a straight line which they rarely do. I think it will be fine but the rain could effect our passing game. Hopefully the running game is strong.

Not necessarily true. Long travel and it being the first game of the year I'm not sure that gives us a really good read on what kind of team we have if we lose.

Hawaii is not a good football team. They are in the bottom of the MW, replacing two coordinators and have a lame duck head coach. If we cannot beat them then we will not win four games in the Pac-12.

Last week I had a premonition of a hurricane messing this game up. I must be one of them psychos, seeing the future and ****!

If anything, it looks like this thing is timed for about the time we are supposed to arrive, which could mess up travel plans.

I hope our running game is up to snuff. Could be sloppy. I hate weather games because bad weather equalizes things quite a bit. Like Iowa State during a tornado.

If we want to go bowling we need a Hawaii win.

We need the confidence gained from a 4-0 OOC start, not just to go bowling but for the team to continue to improve and to believe they belong among the winners in college football.

If we beat Hawaii (as we should) then I think we beat up on CSU and the other two OOC games are the kind of wins that let us develop the whole team.

Also if the game turns into a ground game due to wind and rain I think that is definately advantage CU.

Buffs are scheduled to leave at 8am, direct flight is somewhere around 8hrs. If the hurricane stays on its current course at current speed it will definitely be an issue.

They would probably look at scheduling it the weekend of the conference championship games before cancelling it.
If they travel all the way to Hawaii and the game is cancelled, I seriously doubt they pay to fly out there again later this year. It's hella expensive, which is why the NCAA lets you schedule a 13th game if you play at Hawaii.

There are no open slots on the schedule.
