Buffs offered, but he looks like he's all about UT.

Seemingly out of nowhere. Really like his patience setting his blocks and the way he cuts decisively.

Dat spin move tho at 1:49.....

Stephens, the No. 5 RB in Texas and No. 24 RB in the country, told our Ahmard Vital at the Texas State 7-on-7 Tournament that UT was one of the schools catching his eye the most.
"Texas, Alabama, Texas A&M," he said. "Those are the three schools that stand out for me right now."
Stephens, who possesses great size and speed, is one of seven running backs the Longhorns have offered in 2016. The others are Devwah Whaley, Lil'Jordan Humphrey, Kameron Martin (Baylor), Trayveon Williams (TCU), Kyle Porter, andDarius Anderson.

That isn't very encouraging.

This could be good news for the Buffs. Trying not to get my hopes up. Kid's a stud.

@Buffnik - any reason why you feel that this could be a positive thing for the Buffs? Seems as though an early decision is more likely a result of him wanting to stay closer to home (UT, A&M, 'Bama), than the P-12 (CU, furd, udub). Just wondering if I missed a truly positive update?

It may have to do with his position of choice versus where the other schools are recruiting him. He wants to play CB at the next level but most of his final six has offered him as a RB. Perhaps CU telling him he can come play corner for the Buffs has bumped up his decision.
