Jeromy Irwin out for season

No whining. Next man up.
This. I recognize we can't replace Irwin, but we better have a good plan to get by without him. No excuses anymore.

P.S. To Irwin: I'm very sorry to read this. This just sucks. Hang in there and come back stronger next year.

Sucks indeed for Mr. Irwin but I'm sure he understands it's part of football. He seems like a character guy, he'll be fine.

Who does the grading? I have sat and watched both games numerous times and I don't get this grading. Do you get Plus points for cheerleading?
Positive plays versus negative results. Extra points for knockdown blocks and blocks that lead to a TD.

MacIntyre said he's confident in Sam Kronshage's ability to handle the job at left tackle and that if something were to happen to Sam Kronshage, Stephane Nembot would move over to LT

I feel for Jeremy. For some reason, I am not too concerned overall. I think Kronshage will do okay.

It didn't look like he got hurt that bad. He walked off under his own power. I thought that he might have just gotten a little dinged up. Hate that it's a torn ACL.

Sarcasm Font missing here?
Nope. We need to get the ball of sefo's hands as quickly as possible, and make him a moving target, and bootlegs off of stretch plays are a great way to do both. We already run a lot of zone blocking, so its not much of a change. We had problems with pass protection before, and Irwin being out will only make them worse. Sefo back there sifting through 5 receivers behind our offensive line against pac 12 defenses is pretty risky. Id rather limit how many times we do that.

Damn, that sucks for Jeromy, hope he gets the medical redshirt. But I'm in with the next man up attitude.

Didn't csu lose Sambrailo early in the showdown last year? I didn't see any excuses on that end, and their o-line rolled in that 2nd half.

CU should have that same attitude, else we're likely f******.

At least Kronshage will have the benefit of a couple full games prior to conference play. Never want to suffer an injury to one of the top performers, but hopefully the line can get some decent chemistry going prior to Oregon. He'll be tested this week to be sure, but those reps will be useful in the long run.
