Questions for the BSN Buffs Podcast

RK

UBL
Recording the first of a weekly podcast series tonight, hoping to add to the rather small pool of Buffs talk out there. As the show develops we'll be having guests such as former players (mayyyybe current), other media members, and hopefully even some prominent posters from this board.

For tonight, I wanted to take in some questions from you guys that we can answer on the show, so fire 'em away!

Thought on running the offense with Sefo under center. It seemed highly effective when we ran it during the game.

Also, when Lindgren came in the offense that he was going to be running was supposed to have a significant amount of "Pistol" formation. It seems we just run a shotgun with the RB standing to one side. Would we get more productivity it a Lindsey or Adkins was lined up behind Sefo with the ability to run to either side?

Does the coaching staff devote practice time to eliminating the "correctable mistakes", or is concentrating on executing the game plan enough to try to eliminate the mistakes?

What will they be serving on the rooftop terrace (i.e. will it be strong enough to forget the results on the field)?

Why does RK cheat in the uniform guess thread?

Is POW! done as starting RB in all but name?

Is Shay done as PR?

Does RK have a fashion tip for buffalo fans this fall?

Hahaha some of the best questions, gonna have to file em away for next week though.

RK - if you get RG back on the show again, I'd like to know if there's anything we can do to get the P12 network to cover skiing. The P12 has two of the top skiing programs in the country. You'd think they'd want to support those programs. Chances are pretty good that either CU or UU will win the national championship every year. This is exactly the kind of stuff I thought the P12 Net was supposed to be covering, but they haven't done it at all. Same with Cross Country.

Hmm. I was really hoping for a tip on how to wear white to this white out game post memorial day

I think (but don't know) that the answer to the skiing question is that skiing is not a Pac-12 sanctioned sport. There also could be weird, stupid and retarded issues about getting broadcast rights from the host team (assuming a non-P12 team is hosting the event) and/or ski area (I would think any of those parties would be like "free publicity - sure!" but sometimes lawyers get involved).

The broadcast rights (if it's a thing) could also be a thing for Cross Country. No CC coverage is probably a bigger question though, because it is a conference sponsored sport, and in addition to CU, Stanford and Oregon are frequent top 10 teams, with Cal and UCLA also getting into the rankings with regularity, so it's not just the "newcomers" that have elite teams.

But also remember, that with both of those sports, it's pretty hard to actually provide even decent TV coverage. It's not like many sports where three cameramen on one field/court can cover all the action, you need 5-6 (or more) spread out over a large area to cover those events. (Yes, it's one or two for the downhill skiing - NCAA only competes in Slalom & GS - but the skiing competition also includes cross-country skiing, and those courses are as long, and arguably even more difficult to cover than the running cross-country courses.)

Probably some combination of all of the above, but I'm betting logistics and lack of manpower/excess equipment is driving most of the lack of coverage.

We should have time for some questions tonight!
Football, relationship advice, pop culture, whatcha got?

Actor you would most like to star in a CSI series?

Worst way to break up?

Significance of CSU shuffling their o-line to a whole new set prior to the RMS?

Posted this in other thread too...but how could you guys miss best blow out and not mention our shellacking of the nubs? For shame!

Okay, I promise we will get to your questions tonight! Let's hear em!
Also, keep an ear out for out new intro tomorrow featuring a celebrity guest!
