Utah/Oregon

Given that the Ducks are heading here next week, I thought I'd get some things I've seen up on Oregon from this game-

They are overly reliant on Royce Freeman. Utah has keyed in on this, and I'd expect we would too.

You can move the ball on their D-They've let Wilson escape the pocket a couple of times, and he's picked up chunks of yardage doing it.

I haven't been impressed with Vernon Adams this year, and he looks like the finger is bugging him still.....His accuracy was an issue against Michigan State, and its been so far here. He probably can't do more damage to it if he plays, but probably shouldn't be out there. He got attention at EWU because he could throw the deep ball, but he's struggled to complete even the short stuff tonight. Moreover, he looks like he thinks he's gotta do it all himself still-isn't doing a very good job of getting the ball to their skill talent (Bralon Addison, Charles Nelson, Byron Marshall, etc. haven't touched the ball so far)

Ugh...I was hoping Utah would give them a physical game, but the absolute last thing we need to happen is for Utah to get the upset in Eugene and have to deal with a super focused and desperate Oregon team next week. It's not like I think the upset is likely, but it would be typical Buffs luck if that happens.

Adams 2 of 7 for 26 yards. Yikes. Oregon with 67 yards of offense with 6:15 to play in the half.

That finger is still bothering Adams, but I wonder if the change is a deeper issue-They have to have a QB who knows the system well enough to operate it at speed. Adams doesn't have that kind of command of that system, and he probably never will. If Helfrich is smart, he should roll with Lockie.

I was rooting for Oregon - just a North v South thing. But damn I hate Oregon and their "fans".

Oregon has a bad defense.
42 points to EWU
31 to MSU
28 to Georgia State
27 at the half to Utah

Would still be a miracle to win next week, but the Ducks have a vulnerable pattern on defense, especially the secondary

What pisses me off is that Utah was essentially in the same position as us when entering the PAC 12. They're in the top 25 and in position to beat Oregon at Autzen and we are where we are.

Anyway, Go Utes.

Folsom will be rocking for sure ... game is winnable IF CU doesn't leave points on the field and Sefo
can improve his passing ..
