What's your prediction for our conference schedule?

Now that we've had a chance to evaluate the Buffs and our conference opponents, how do you think we will do?
The schedule (Home games in bold):
Oregon (L)
Arizona St. (L)
Arizona (L)
Oregon St. (W)
UCLA (L)
Stanford (L)
USC (L)
Washington St. (W)
Utah (L)

@Hawaii L
UMass W
CSU W
NSU W
Oregon L
@ASU L
Arizona W
@OSU L
@UCLA L
Stanford L
USC L
@Wazzu W
@Utah W

I'm not expecting a win at Hawaii. If we do win, it will mean good things . . . like a bowl.

I'm right on the money so far!

CU doesn't have the horses up front on either side.

OREGON L
ASU L
Arizona W
Oregon state W
UCLA L
STANFORD L
USC L
WSU W
UTAH L

3-6 Better but until we stop recruitin mwc talent to win in the pac 12, this is our team. OL, DL,LB really need an upgrade.

That's what I see. One home upset and two road victories.
Like many predicted for our OOC schedule, even though we should have been 4-0, the most likely outcome for this team was 3-1 because **** happens.

I think the same goes for our conference schedule... most optimistic people are predicting wins @ OSU and WSU, but I could easily see us dropping one of those and pulling off 1 or even 2 home upsets.

For the home games: If Anu Solomon is out for an extended period of time, AZ could easily be one of the home wins. Oregon clearly has issues on both sides of the ball right now, and maybe the Buffs are catching them at the right time when they have no idea what to do with their QB. Can't see us beating Furd, or USC in any scenario.

For the Away games: ASU looks far from world beaters after last night, so maybe CU can hang tough in the desert, but can't see a W. OSU and WSU are the favorites for CU to get a win and neither team has shown anything that would make me think otherwise, at this point. Can't see a scenario in which we go into UCLA and get a win. Could be the most lopsided loss of the season. Utah in the last game will be interesting. It's a long way away, so we'll see where each team is at with injuries, momentum, what they're playing for, etc. We have been solid in hanging with Utah since joining the Pac 12 and if the Buffs are playing for win #7 and a bowl game, who knows what could happen.

shockingly optimistic from you.

2 wins. Looks like Gary Shandling at OSU is getting their **** together quickly, so that one is questionable. We'll surprise someone else.

ASUnis the one we pull out of nowhere as a bruised and battered but pissed off Buffs play out of their minds and above their talents.

We beat AZ on confidence from the week before and because AZ sucks and carry that confidence into OSU.

Then a string of ugly losses until we beat up on WSU only to end the season with a closer than we thought it would be but still a solid beating at the hands of duh Utes.

Make a bowl and keep the faithful and the haters engaged for another year.

P.s. If that ends up being right it will prove that random selection is just as good as any real football "knowledge".

I know you were told there would be no math, but 4 Pac 12 wins + 3 OOC wins = 7 total wins and a bowl game...

I'll have what he's having.

A road win is virtually impossible. Remember 41-38 at UMass last year (a ridiculously close win)? We did play one OT road game last year (Cal?) which is why I said "virtually." Home games are another matter. I'm guessing 2 home upset wins and no road wins. Doesn't matter how bad WSU is, UMass was awful last year also.

Would love to be wrong - Hawaii suggests we're on the same track as usual. Almost any home game has possibility - almost any road game is hopeless.

That team looks lost right now.

Yup. Would be great if we could sweep the Arizona teams for recruiting. I think we split OSU and WSU. I'd lean towards losing to OSU and beating to WSU.

The stretch of UCLA, SC and Stanford is brutal. At this point Utah looks like a no hoper with that incredible DL they have. Combined with that OL and I can't see a W now.

6-7 final prediction. I had put 5 wins before the season so it's better than anticipated so far. If we only win 2 conference games how hot does Mac's seat get? We can't get a lame duck year like Hawk. Here's hoping we get to at least 6.

I think we have a slim chance with Oregon if the Utah game was real.

I think we have a decent shot at ASU, WSU, OSU.

Arizona is a possibility.

I don't hold out much hope for UCLA, SC, Stanford or Utah.

There are a lot of teams that I marked down as losses early in the year who I now think we have a chance against. I can absolutely see three wins, including a home win. Four is still farther than I'm willing to go.

A road win is virtually impossible?

No it's not. Nice hyperbole.

Can we at least admit road victories for this team have been very hard to come by? To me, that is the biggest question mark for this team going forward.

Having watched a full game of every team in the Pac-12 now, 0-9. Frankly I don't think we have the talent at DL, LB, OL, and at QB to compete in the Pac-12. I think wins over a few cupcakes has some CU fans delusional. We'll need to show a lot of improvement to win games in the Pac-12, especially on the road, doesn't mean it can't happen but that would be my prediction today.
