The length of college football games

I love football, don´t get me wrong, but why are most college games close to four hours these days when even the NFL can get non-OT games done in 3 hour-ish? Four hours is too long and both the Bama/aTm and Michigan/MSU games will take something close to four hours. Don´t think the networks are doing themselves any favors here, either.

Cuz TV makes the rules for college, the NFL does so for its games.

The UM MSU game went long due to the 70 reviews of plays. Michigan had a drive at the goal line where they reviewed 4 plays in a row. Brutal.

1. CFB games rarely use reply time for commercial time outs
2. half time is 8 minutes longer

What makes these long games even better is the fact that they are starting past 9 pm in the East Coast. Try staying up til 1 am to watch us crap our beds week after week. I just can't do it anymore. I've been Sefo'd too many times.
