The Gospel According to Mac... Airs November 3rd

I heard Alfred on The Drive being disappointed in the title cuz Mac never forced religion on the guys. We will see how positive it is.

At this point, with the state of the program, ANY publicity is positive. Hopefully this will remind the public that we use to have a relevant program.

I look forward to seeing this and it might get a little dusty in here remembering the great days past.

OK, where did my post go?!!
Likely where they all end up...

Yeah, prolly. Or I typed it all up and forgot to hit "post reply." The mind. It's a terrible thing to waste. Or, as Dan Quayle quoted it, "What a waste it is to lose one's mind. Or not to have a mind is being very wasteful."

At any rate, on the topic, Mac is and was a great man and I'm a huge fan of his. But I also know he was polarizing. That was a big part of his legacy and I'm sure they'll touch on it. I hope they treat Kristy well. She made mistakes but, man, did she raise two great young men.

I found this article, written last December. It's long but very good and probably about what you'l see on "30 for 30."

Will have most people probably saying what ever happened to Colorado or they cheated their way to a Natty and what a hypocrite Mac is blah blah blah

They'd have to search very hard to find a single Mac Buff who would throw him under the bus. So, if they do try to go there, it is going to have to be some pretty trumped up BS.

The preview makes it sound like it is more about the fine line between doing anything to win and what that brings with it, which is still a huge problem today. They will probably make connections to Urban's run at Florida and how many issues they had with police (Hernandez) but the big thing with Mac was that he was so religious but still let a lot of things slide in order to win. I don't think it will completely positive but it will probably paint college football in a bad way, not necessarily Colorado.

While some players didn't probably get along well with him, I doubt any would say anything bad about him publicly. The fallout from others on the team would be too loud. I bet he does have his critics though as we all do. He was quite polarizing in Boulder.

After watching the preview it looks like the film will focus more on religion than I would care to see. Seems to be more of a documentary on Mac's faith than CU football. Even after seeing the title I was still hoping it might be a nice mix of football and Mac's beliefs.

We will all be forever indebted to you... Btw, was this a slight humble brag?
No and I wouldn't want to spoil everything. I just will post whether it is must watch or whether you will watch it in anger. We will all watch it either way.

Man, I thought I'd posted this. Losing my mind, haha. Anyway, here's another really good article and, if you didn't need one, another reason to resent Hawkins.

Thank you for this DBT! I had meant to read this awhile back and never dud. I read it and got emotional. I see Kristy every game and she always smiles at people and has a positive aura. She has had to deal wit a lot of ****, I am sure.

If ya didn't read it, GB was going to make TC a Buff but then lost his job. Hawkins chose not to offer him anything and GB was pretty upset about it.
