So...who's our rival?

Do we have an actual rival now?

CSU is the closest we have, but it's hard to have a rival from a lower conference.

CSU is the closest.

Buffs have to actually beat some Pac-12 South teams in football for things to get heated. Until that happens, we're pretty much the Iowa State of the old Big 12. We could call someone a rival and they'd pay zero attention to it.

dang it. i was just going to jump with a long post about how our rival is our own pathos, fanbase, and administration. you kids are too quick.

I'd say it's Nebraska. If that doesn't count, then I guess CSU. I kinda find myself rooting for Utah most of the time and you can't root for your rival, can you?

Should have stayed in the b12: Nebraska, Baylor, Texas, etc. College football is not interesting to me without real rivalries. It's just minor league football. There aren't many real rivalries that involve teams that are not in the same state or at least border states. I can think of ND and USC. Any others?

On that note, I'm happy to see New Mexico getting its football house in order. If the Pac-12 expands to 14, that's the university I want to see added. For hoops and Olympic sports, they match up so well with CU. Football is not close to our level of prestige, but at least it's a border state that's a straight shot down the highway or a short flight. Would be a much better pair-up than Utah for us.

**** Arizona, I'm not sure why I feel so strongly but seriously **** them. Man I was really hoping basketball could stay good and both football programs could find a way to be relevant to build a legit rivalry across sports. Outside of that Utah will eventually become our rival. Hopefully sooner than later because CSU is our rivalry game and that blows cottage cheese load.
