What do you guys think of this kid? I went to college in fayetteville (Go Hogs & Go Buffs) before i got a job in Denver, and my buddy watched this dude play and told me that i should take a look (i think he was dogging the buffs....said "couldn't hurt you guys!".

Mechanics are so-so, but that should be coachable. What do y'all think?

Will you be creating new threads daily?

Is there anything to indicate that the CU coaches even know this guy exist.

I want to know about prospects that we might be recruiting but just a random posting on some of the thousands of kids playing HS football in the US doesn't help a lot.

And no, the CU coaches don't come to Allbuffs for suggestions about who to recruit.

They don't even listen when you give them a heads up on a player. I reached out a few years to inform them of a QB they should be looking at. they said he wasn't what they were looking for...LMAO, 6'2" 215 Lbs. Cody became only the 2nd QB in college history to rush for 3000 yards and pass for over 9000 yards. Finished with a QB rating of 135....who needs a QB like that?

Cody?

So that would be Hawkins and crew, right?

From a quick google search, "Cody" was a Rivals 3 star kid with offers from Nevada, SJSU, and UNLV. He would have been criticized on this board for having no P5 offers.

I sent HCMM some videos I took on my phone in my best three-point stance and then videos showing how long I can use a shakeweight for, in order to demonstrate strength.

Haven't heard anything yet, but I'll keep you posted.
I don't understand how you haven't heard anything back yet?!?!?!

You are on the wrong message board to be bragging about how well you can stay in a 3 point stance and how well you can use a shake weight, not that there is anything wrong with that, just that Allbuffs is not the appropriate forum for that. It is possible that Reddit might have a forum for that though.

I think this is the perfect site for that kind of stuff, IMO.

I really don't see a problem with this. Maybe the kid can play, maybe he can't. The coaches are supposed to know about all the talented kids out there, but I'm certain they don't know about all of them.

That said, QB is a position where the staff will only take one player a year. They will need to know a lot about a player before offering a scholarship. You can whiff on a OL recruit. Whiff too many times at QB and you are unemployed.

If they'd put you in, we'd have won state! I know it!

The staff better have their plan A, B, C and beyond identified well before stuff like this thread appears. You are correct about one QB a year and not having much margin for error on that guy.

A lot of schools also try to bring in a WO QB each year. Certainly not the the best way but this might be a way a kid or his supporters could let the school know he might be interested in a PWO offer.
