The NCAA may not have enough bowl eligible teams

knee-jerk response is "maybe we have too many bowls"
but honestly, I don't really care how many bowls we have (my perception is that many teams treat bowl games as glorified exhibitions, but that could be skewed by VT's history under Beamer).

Too many bowls. I remember when 7-4 teams got left home and getting a bowl was a big deal...now all you have to do is go .500 or better. My personal favorite, The Gildan Bowl in NM. I call it the underwear bowl. Having said that, I would gladly pay to see the Buffs in the undie bowl...

Not enough bowls. Anything that gives me more college football, especially as the season winds down too quickly, is mana from heaven.
There is that, but even though I love CFB, I cannot digest all the bowls now. Has anybody ever watched the R+L Carriers Bowl?

There have been several articles this week on national media sights about which teams are fighting for their lives to make a bowl game. UW and about a dozen other 5-win teams were on these lists. CU was not mentioned in any of the articles. The "still a chance" crowd is basically Howell, Ringo, and some seniors on the team. I understand that the seniors would hold out hope, they got nothing to lose.

CU is not going bowling this season. But then I believed that before and immediately after the Hawaii game as well. I'd love to see something this Saturday night to move me towards changing my mind.

Thank you Captain Obvious. This post brought to you by Big Mtn.

If it's a real bowl, I'm sure I have. College football is a religion in my family. We've had a bowl pool for over 45 years. Of course, my wife and sister in law, who nothing about football have won the last 2 years. I spend 30 minutes on my picks ad they're done in 30 seconds. Anything that takes people away from this reality crap on tv is a good thing.

Maybe they'll let us play in one for trying hard. Kind of like a "participation ribbon."

I don't think CU has been to a bowl game since Ryan Sutter was on a reality TV show. You might want to reconsider your viewing habits if you want to see any Buffs on TV after the regular season is over.

That would mean the Buffs hit on a QB or got insanely lucky in some other way. I'm not used to "ifs" going Cu's way in Football. Not for a long time. Then again, the last time that happened was at WSU...

Throw logic out the window and let's have some fun with this.

**** it.

Buffs are gonna destroy Wazzu this Saturday and ride that momentum into Salt Lake next week!

George King will have to share his crown with Cade Apsay!

There are too many bowls. CU fandom aside (I'd love to see them get into any Dec/Jan game), a school should be better than 0.500 to go bowling. I'd prefer much better.

There's also too many bowls based on the attendance. I can't remember which ones, but I've watched a few over the last few years where they pan the stadium and it isn't even half full.

Gosh, you're just so much ****ing smartet than everyone else. We cannot even comprehend what a blessing it would be to step into your mind for one day. All praise Big Jim!!!

Anything that gets us to a bowl is good. I don't care how crappy the bowl is or what our record is like. I think the last bowl we were in was some **** bowl vs. Alabama.

Isn't that the one the Lammies have played in?

I took a brutal **** in the SLC airport during a layover yesterday. I could see it effecting the results of the game.
Just landed from SLC and flew there yesterday. I didn't soil the airport bathroom, but I'm confident the maid wouldn't have been happy if my room was the first cleaning shift this morning.
