Official 2016 Head Coach Prediction Thread

Yes, we've closed the gap considerably. All these close losses were blowout losses a couple of years ago. This staff just doesn't seem like they are capable of taking the next step. So many key mistakes whether it's on the field, clock management, poor play calling or atrocious special teams. And then there is the mediocre recruiting.

Odds are we're in for another year of this garbage, but I really think RG pulls the trigger if he can get a big name in here. Everything we've seen so far says that he is a man who makes things happen. I'm going to go ahead and call it. RG really pulls it off and announces Les Miles by mid-December! Just a pipe dream? We'll see soon enough.

What do you all say? Will MM be back? Should he be back? Should we give Leavitt a shot? Someone else?

Recruiting isn't good enough and the bedwetting in crucial situations is unacceptable. There is no reason to keep the guy around "to give him one more year" if the writing is on the wall. I believe that the writing is on the wall. Let's move on sooner rather than later (remember Hawkins?)

Can someone summarize what is owed MMac and his staff at present? If we were to fire him, what are we on the hook for?

Wow! Thanks for this great new thread over a topic that hasn't been discussed at length through plenty of other threads. You are an innovator my friend.
Wow! Thanks for being a dick! It's the end of the season. That's the time a prediction thread for next year. Yes, much has been discussed already. So what? Perhaps people have different feelings on the subject now than a week or two ago. If you feel there is no further discussion warranted on the subject you are welcome to STFU.

But this is the official ****ing version of the thread, bitch.

The other 200 "replace MM at head coach" threads weren't enough?

It's fairly clear cut. Us losing to Utah by 6 points with our third string QB really changed peoples minds? RG has said he is staying. Unless Les comes in, Mac is here. You said it was a "prediction" thread. Only a complete clown would predict Mac is gone.

Oh ****. My bad my bad @Tatanka™. I was not aware of it being official compared to the other unofficial threads throughout the board. Should we close those other conversations so we can have it all in one place on the official thread.

Clown?

I thought it would be helpful to consolidate the discussion in one thread going forward. Sorry that is such an offensive notion.

You're fine. I am just pissed off at the result of the season and feel like we are beating a dead horse with Mac. That is all. Just struck a nerve.

he back

some insiders will tell us that we gave it a shot for Miles, but it wasn't gonna happen, and RG is happy with MM. we'll struggle into the 4-5 win realm next year and probably be close to a bowl, most will tire of the act and he'll get fired

Stick with Mac if we can keep him. The improvement is obvious. We lost on the road to a team that was in the NC discussion a few weeks ago while playing with a young patchwork o-line and our 3/4 string quarterback and the defense played very well.

Mac is keeping players in the program, they are united behind him and they are fighting every game. The last thing we need to do is start over.....again. We will reach the tipping point. And I would argue it will happen next year.

We have not won a single game that we were not expected to win, but we have lost games that we were expected to win. I don't see much of an improvement, if any this year. Defense is better, but Offense and Special Teams have regressed. We have won exactly two conference games in three years. This isn't acceptable progress in year 3.

Agreed, MacIntyre is pretty much a dead horse. I'm convinced he will return as the coach next season. Same coaches, same players, same results.

Well said....and, the future is **** based on HCMM's recruiting.
