'16 CO OLB JoJo Domann (Signed to Nebraska)

So that's 2 Coloradans who will be moving to Nebraska in 2016.

To offset the 4,000 Nebraskans who will be moving here.

I think this is a very important recruit for HCMM. Position of need and a top in-state prospect. Can't be missing on many of these guys.

Be a Buff, JoJo!

I don't think Domman will be a Buff...hope I'm wrong.

Even though he's committed to the Huskers, I've been impressed by JD's comments. He's not said a single bad thing about CU (In fact, he's almost helped recruit for CU in many of his interviews)...I just think he enjoyed the big time atmosphere of Husker football. It's a cult-like following over there. Doesn't surprise me if you're indifferent...other than the area pretty much sucks. But, as a player you're a god to those people. Plus, there's a Pine Creek pipeline to Lincoln right now. He has friends from last year on that team.

Honestly, he may be a god to the people in lincoln if he plays well there (see Ryan Hill from arvada west - the kid disappeared there) , but he certainly would be more beloved as the GPOY that decided to play for his home state - as others have said, his importance to the buffs goes much farther than his play on the field.

It's very easy to see how that could appeal to a 16 year old kid, then make a 17 year old have second thoughts.

Being a god is fine if all you have going for you is football. I don't know Domann at all but he comes across as a pretty intelligent kid who has some balance in his life.

CU has some huge advantages for a kid like him. It is far enough away to be away from home but close enough that he can stay in contact with his friends and family, he can have an "escape zone" when and if he wants it for a weekend.

It is also a place where you can play in a magnificent stadium against the best in the country on Saturday and be the hero with all the cheers but on Tuesday you can walk around campus, talk to some girls, go to class, and not be seen by everybody as a "football player."

They may not be from the football team but there are a lot of Pine Creek kids in Boulder, he won't lack for friends there and he will quickly make solid friends on the team.

Add to this not only the meltdown this season of the fuskers on the field but also of their fanbase off it and it is easy to see that all in Stinkoln isn't as impressive as the first impression.

Smart kid to keep his options open and do some thinking. This is a decision that will have a huge impact on the next 4-5 years and on the rest of his life. There is much more to that than a bunch of red and white plaques on the walls.

If JoJo is interested in a career that advances the science behind McRib sandwiches, chicken nuggets, and other processed meat bonding techniques, then Nebraska is definitely the right place for him.

Domann is very close with Eric Lee and Avery Anderson, as they all played together on the Weapon X squad, and of course he played with Anderson at Pine Creek... that has been the Buffaloes' biggest challenge in recruiting Domann, as Lee/Anderson have tried to make Nebraska seem like the "cool school" to go to. Not sure what CU's legitimate chances are with Domann, but I do get the sense he is going to give the Buffs a serious look this weekend. He might be a tweener that would need to add significant weight to play linebacker in college, but he is a straight up playmaker. Every event or game I've ever seen him at, he's been the biggest impact player on the field.

As much as we focus on defense and questions about whether Domann's a tweener without a position... maybe CU is onto something by recruiting him as an Athlete and projecting him as a potential WR?

Colorado's Gatorade Player of the Year

The 6-foot-1, 212-pound senior wide receiver and two-way back caught 33 passes for 674 yards and nine touchdowns, and rushed 36 times for 402 yards and 11 TDs this past season.

Hmmmm......

Get back, get back
Get back to where you once belonged
Get back, get back
Get back to where you once belonged
Get back Jojo. Go home
Get back, get back
Back to where you once belonged
Get back, get back
Back to where you once belonged
Get back Jo

I want him here just to save him from ruining his life by going to nubs. Where he will wind up marrying a trailer park queen.
