Write up from 2014:

For somebody that has been playing basketball for just 3 years the Polish center has made some outstanding progress. Has a really nice touch offensively around the rim, almost like a little floater. Doesn't really have moves yet, but can finish on drop off and has been very effective on P&R. Defensively it is where it gets interesting, he has a really good body, has timing for blocks and good lateral movements to show on P&R. He has been great from Poland in protecting the rim and grabbing rebounds. Suffers a lot when he plays against more athletic players. Maybe is not too athletic, but there is a lot of upside to work with.

Biggest need is a guard I would think, but another 7 footer is definitely intriguing.

Personally, I agree. However, I can see the logic with adding a "proven" big like Dominik. Tad's strength in recruiting tends to be guards and wings. Getting a big locked down - especially one with three years of eligibility left - allows him more freedom to go that route.

Makes sense. Not saying at all that I wouldn't want to add Dominik, our 2017 line up would have some legitimate size. Will be interesting to see how this develops. 2016 is going to be a fun year for CU hoops.

I really don't think we can go wrong either way honestly. I'm a big believer in guard play being the way to go, but Dominik is a bit of a stud going by the numbers he put up this year. It's not like we'd be taking a stiff who'd play 5-10 mpg and that's it.

Two year from now: Walton at 5; Dominick at 4, Siewert at 3, King at 2 and Peters at 1! Can't see the forest (or the hoop) through the "Trees"!

From stats/health stand point, DO is a better prospect than DW & between them we'd be set at the 5 for several years.

Like Tad said, it's about who you can get & not who you want. The G/F hybrid role is our biggest hole in '17 & beyond. But from what's available, either Whitt or DO would be BPA.

Hopefully, someone informs DO that Cuonzo Martin's job is under review & Mississippi is so backwards that other backwards southern states say "at least we're not Mississippi."

Hard to pass up a large-framed 7-footer who has already proved he can play at the D1 level. So rare in the game.

The nice thing about this is that it frees Tad up in recruiting. As we've seen, Tad's biggest "misses" tend to be big men we're having to project how well they'll do. Meanwhile guards he has a much higher success rate. This frees us up to not have to do a "panic add" in the next class or two for a big and just go after BPA.

If this happens, I feel like we went from dearth to wealth of big men in a hurry. REALLY free up Walton to heal a year, and rotate 7-footers next year...

This would be a great get. I don't want to get overly excited about him just yet. Obviously, any 7-footer that has potential is a great get for any program, not to mention teaming up with Dallas Walton (7'0), Siewart (6'10) and Tory Miller (6'9) in our front court. That would mean that by next year '17-'18, after his redshirt, we will have Miller 6'9 SR., Siewart 6'10 SO., Olenjiczak 7'0 SO. and Walton 7'0 Redshirt FR.

That potentially will allow us to have tremendous depth for years, obviously pending how he and the others turn out. Who knows, maybe his competition was soft at Drake. It's all just a thought right now until we see how he really progresses at Colorado. I want to mention, I am not trying to bring a dark cloud into the conversation, honestly, I would be over the moon if he chooses us, I just want to temper my expectations. But, if it does work out and Walton stays healthy and hopefully redshirts his Freshman year, than that front court looks scary good.

All-in-all team this with Schwartz (potential 6'5 Top-100 SF FR.), Collier (SR.), Peters (SO.), King (SR.), Akyazili (JR.) and Brown (SOPH.), would be very talented and balanced. That also doesn't include 3-4 other recruits from the '17 class that we have scholarships available for.

Things are looking up for Colorado.

Actually, it wouldn't impact Walton this coming year. Dominik has to sit out this season due to transfer rules.

That's a bummer. I was really hoping that we could have 7'0 Olejniczak RS Soph, 7'0 Walton RS Fresh, 6'10 Siewart Soph and 6'9 Miller Sr. in our front court for the 2017-2018 lineup.

****. Struck out hard on transfers this offseason

Yeah, it's a bummer. I feel like we have opportunities for great 4 star Big men and solid transfers but always seem to come close and miss. Hopefully we can start turning that around!

Maybe this is how Ole Miss boosters are responding to football sanctions
Maybe with what is going on currently with the athletic program, might he rethink his commitment to Ole Miss and reconsider CU. I'm not sure Ole Miss is the place to be headed to right now.
