Thursday 6/23 in S Denver - Meet the Coaches

Why cause he sucks so far?
I don't know. The writing appears to be on the wall for Lindgren, IMO. The offense regressed, the QB regressed, his recruiting sucks, he got demoted to Co-OC, Chev seems to be the lead recruiter on our primary QB target, and he has not been asked to attend a coaches Q&A with the other coordinators and HC (yes, I acknowledge it's possible that he might not be available for this Q&A).

There was a time when some here said Lindgren should be protected with one of our contracts. His fall from grace seems pretty epic. I agree it does seem like the writing is one the wall.

They must be doing everything they can to hide Lindgren. Fourth year "Co"-OC not present at the coaches meet and greet.

It also looks like they're trying to use the CU connections to sell the event. Two new coaches who also happened to play for the Buffs. It's touting new enthusiasm but also nostalgia. And Leavitt, because you can't keep that guy out. Just too much excitement there. Lindgren, though, doesn't seem like a pep rally guy. He's probably not used to raising his voice to get anyone other than his own players fired up.

He's on his family vacation I believe that week

I still am amazed by how much every one is down on Lindgren. obviously 2015 was an offensive fiasco but he helped orchestrate a pretty outstanding (as set by the buffalo bar of the previous 5yrs) 2014 season.

I'm pretty sure there are at least 5 threads devoted to debating this with at least 1 of them mentioning him explicitly by name in the title. I'll say that offering, evaluating, and signing top QBs is a big part of the job and has left plenty to be desired. However, I have seen BL handle his triumphs and his struggles with complete professionalism and would expect more of the same from him this year.

Back to the subject of Thursday's event: Anyone going? We need reports of every folksy idiom and epic, exhilarating anecdote delivered by one Jim Leavitt. MacIntyre definitely brought his 3 assistants he knew could get people fired up about Buff football.

Exactly. As OC and QB Coach, he has really only been charged with recruiting QBs, and he has not done a good job with that, and may have been one of the main reasons for losing Sheriron and Webb. Add to that a failure in continuing the development of Sefo into a high level passer, and he deserves a solid D grade during his time here. Would be an F had 2014 not been a decent offensive year from a statistical standpoint.
