Committed to SJSU in 2014, then decided to go to Contra Costa instead. While Lindgren joined the CU staff in January of 2013, there's a good chance he had started recruited Burston when he was a sophomore for SJSU.

Burston is followed on twitter by Lindgren, Adams and Da Prato (offensive quality control). Also, CU coaches have a great relationship with Alonzo Carter, the HC at Contra Costa.

Scout had a great write-up on Burston:

As a freshman this past season, Burston helped lead the Comets to a 9-2 record by completing 63.5% of his passes for 2,151 yards, 28 touchdowns and only three interceptions while rushing for over 400 yards and a team-leading five touchdowns on the ground.

"I am a pocket-passer with the ability to run and create outside the pocket," Burston noted. "I'm a natural competitor so I do anything I can to win. I'm a motivator an a playmaker."

Wasn't a good fit for Tedford and his system.

Has now committed to New Mexico. I think he could do really well there.
