So Howell thinks the Buffs are still recruiting Noyer?

Well he isn't technically enrolled yet. So what do you call him? Recruit, former recruit, incoming freshman, high school graduate??? I think Howell just doesn't know what term to use so recruit is safe.

I thought Sefo was playing his best ball late last year before the injury.
Once he started running the ball it really opened up some things. Of course his accuracy wasn't what it was the year prior,
but I think if he can get healthy we'll have a great chance to get to a bowl game this season.

Accuracy didn't dip much.

2013 59.4%
2014 65.3%
2015 62.2%

passing yardage is what really suffered.

2013 1779
2014 3200
2015 2418

I agree though, him running last year really opened up the offense. He couldn't stay in the pocket due to protection though, so IDK if running was part of the offense by design or necessity.

Passing yardage suffered primarily due to accuracy. Hi receivers routinely had to adjust, jump or give up yards just to touch the ball.

No. Passing yardage suffered mostly due to passing attempts. Yards per attempt actually went up in 2015.

2013: 251 att, 7.09 yds/att (P-Rich helped with this)
2014: 498 att, 6.43 yds/att
2015: 344 att, 7.03 yds/att

Re watch the games, Sefo rarely hit a receiver in stride.

While true, it doesn't change what the numbers indicate.

He completed his passes for more yards per attempt, this would indicate more total yardage over the season

His accuracy percentage fell by only 3%, this would indicate a similar total yardage over the season

His total yardage fell by 800, while missing the final 2.75 games. This would indicate a similar yardage total was possible

His attempts dropped by 150. He attempted 40+ passes only 4 times in 2015 so even if he threw for 40 passes in the final 2.75 games, he still would have been short by 50-75 passes from 2014. That is a big reason for the lack of yardage and lack of touchdowns and frankly this change in offensive style is a big reason we saw the offense regress last year.

Lol. S2S provides you with statistics definitively proving your statement wrong, and you come back with this?

He threw 154 fewer passes in 2015 and had an avg yard per attempt of 7.03 in 2015. Quick math says that is 1,082 yards left on the table due to fewer passing attempts, which adds to a 3,500 yard season total. Seems like the passing attempts was clearly the reason in production fall off.

I guess what I think, is that his numbers would have been huge if he was accurate. I think the offense, in general, was far superior to the prior year (O line not included), and his inaccuracy prevented a much larger improvement. Even with the O-line woes, there were still a ton of opportunities that were wasted.

I will agree with Superior in that Sefo left a lot of yards on the field due to making his receivers wait/come back for the football. However that wasn't the biggest issue holding the offense back. It was the change in offensive style/philosopy

Well the change in philosophy probably helped the defense take a step forward though.

This is probably true. Running the ball more, even if it was the QB, made our offensive possessions longer which took a bit of pressure off of the defense.

I wish Sefo had been able to finish out the year. I think that USC game was going to be his coming out party, I think his shoulder had finally healed. He had 94 yards on 6/8 passing in just over 1 quarter and was knocking on the door for TD #1 when he got hurt. He was just slicing through the very talented USC defense. I am hoping that is the QB we see in week 1 at mile high.
