'17 CA QB Tyler Lytle (Signed to COLORADO)

I want him!

I just don't know who I'd prefer....Lytle or Martell?

Hopefully we get at least one of them, though.

Not exactly the news I wanted to hear, from Vandy's 247:

"So I sent a message to Lytle earlier and he got back to me and said he's deciding soon though does not have a specific date set"

QB Tyler Lytle Nearing Decision
Anaheim (Calif.) Servite quarterback Tyler Lytle could make his college choice by the end of the month,

Clearly comes across as a very intelligent guy in that interview. I love targeting guys who have all the physical tools and have interest from service academies and Ivy League schools. Having a smarter team can be the difference between 7-5 and 10-2.

If this does not go our way, we have a huge problem moving forward. We have got to recruit a QB and I would think it would be one of the easier positions for a team like the Buffs to draw talent. Early playing time, air raid offense, talented WR coming in, improving D. This one would be such a huge failure.

Kid seems like an absolute stud. I'd love to have him in the black & gold. Best QB recruit we signed since who? Sefo had 4* on ESPN (I believe) but was the last "highly ranked" QB we signed BJax?

BJax, but he was more of an athlete. I'd probably go back to Ochs.

Last nationally recruited QB CU signed was Craig Ochs.

Even more reason for Lytle to come be the man here.

Lytle would be a very big deal. I don't know how much I can say, because I don't want to over-do it. He plays in a program and league that is a vital pipeline for Pac-12 recruiting. His film is off the charts good. He's got the smarts and classroom dedication to be a true role model. And the poise he has shown in interviews is at a maturity level well beyond his years.

He'd be an amazing face of the program and The Rise.

Lytle has that rare combination of being polished enough that you know what you're getting yet raw enough that he really doesn't seem to have a ceiling. He shows obvious talent yet you get the feeling that as time goes on he could explode his Senior year and later. It'll be fun to watch him progress. Hope he chooses the Buffs, it'd be a special combination.

I think Lytle is the guy to lead us to the top of the PAC. A great combination of skill and intelligence.

He's going to have top backs and receivers as well.
