Growing up in an FSU family, obviously that game against Miss is going to get my attention.

Bama vs USC though should be a great game.

Ole Miss-FSU since Clemson is going to smoke Auburn. Houston-OU also potentially has big playoff implications.

Houston is a potential playoff team.
Out of the AAC? Really? They may no doubt be awesome this year, but I just don't see them getting the votes necessary to jump into the playoffs. If they do that means two of the P5 get left out. Would be interesting to watch for sure.

If they go undefeated, they will have beaten Oklahoma and Louisville, a team likely to finish in the top 25. They will have a strong case if that happens IMO.

Will be interesting for sure. If they go undefeated, it is really going to test the committee on how much they value overall strength of schedule.

I think Bama is going to destroy SC. I think SC is a sinking ship. Sure they will always get the talent there, but I was not impressed with them last year.
With that said I also think Washington is getting too much love as well. Stanford and Oregon are still kings of that division. How long has it been since UW has beat Oregon?

USC always does well against the SEC. They'll have a top five OL this year, two really good backs, JuJu Smith, and Adoree Jackson playing three ways. Their D line is a question mark but is talented. Bama may win, but it won't be a blowout.

Good post. Bama usually takes about a month to find their stride on offense.

Bama usually blows these early "big" games away

'11 @ #11 Penn St W 27-11
'12 #8 Michigan W 41-14
'13 Virginia Tech W 35-10
'14 West Virginia W 33-23
'15 # 20 Wisconsin W 35-17

Saban always has them ready to play the first game. I just don't see it in SC. Ya they have those guys you mentioned, but they did nothing last year to tell me they will be anything special this season. Hell, SC lost 3 of their last 4 games and almost lost to CU

Edit: how can you say SC always plays well against the SEC when they haven't played a single SEC team in years?

I agree. I am looking forward to that game the most, but I don't have expectations for it being incredibly competitive into the 4th quarter.

An upset by USC over Alabama would be huge for the Pac-12. I don't see how their DL holds up in that one, though.

What we really have to watch is UCLA vs Texas A&M. The conference needs the Bruins to win that game. That's a team picked to win the Pac-12 South versus a mid-tier SEC team. Lose that and the Pac-12 is going to have a very difficult time putting a representative in the playoff at the end of the year.

I see a bunch of slow Big 10 teams there and an ACC/Big East/12, whatever WV was then. Show me what Bama has done against Pac 12 teams. I'll wait.
