New SI piece suggest 100% P12 win total in 2016

With **** like this...
MCCAFFREY
2015 stats: 2,019 rushing yards, 645 receiving yards, 15 total touchdowns
2016 projected stats: 2,231 rushing yards, 537 receiving yards, 18 total touchdowns

You know they just pulled random numbers out of their arse. It is like guessing how many jelly beans are in the jar.

I know how many there are, do you?

Yuck.

3-9 for the Buffs and Helfrich mentioned as the hot seat guy with a 9-3 result? At 9-3 he survives. Frankly, given the risks they are taking with the QB choice and some of the staff changes plus a statistically bad defense returning 9-3 might be a pipe dream.

I read this much before knowing the article would be an uneducated, east-coast-biased, fluff piece:

"The conference known for going crazy after dark"

One positive from crap like this is lowered expectations in the eyes of this year's huge recruiting class. Of course, if the Buffs go 3-9, the recruits will probably have a brand new coach to get excited about, too.

Another positive? Make a bowl game and Coach Mac looks great! Either way, we sign a stellar class!

Big Jim can't win.

Stuff like this is NOT lowering expectations for recruits. They're getting hit over the head with "the rise" over and over by this staff - we're selling a team on the way up, not a 3-9 team where a bowl would be a welcome surprise. If we go 3-9, this recruiting class will look a lot different come February.

Ok. Ease up.

They think we will have the same record as OSU? These 2 programs on different trajectories, so I don't see how that's possible. Bull**** piece IMO.

Would someone please decipher the thread title?

Asking for a friend.

I was wondering when somebody would catch that. It was meant to read "100% improvement" as in they are predicting two Pac-12 wins for CU this season. Clearly a headline fail.

I am sure other coaches are hitting them over the head with the notion that "the rise" is lipstick on a pig and they should decommit. I expect a doubling down on that effort at the first signs of trouble (losses).

I am not sure a stellar class is in the cards because of this.
