Does Brian Kelly find a way to get his team ready despite the distraction of all the suspensions stemming from being one of the dirtiest, most out-of-control programs in the nation?

Does Charlie Strong show he has turned the corner and has UT back where it should be despite mediocre recruiting and a locker room that still doesn't seem 100% bought in?

Is there a way they can both lose?

Kickoff is at 5:30 MT on ABC.

I hope they both lose. Or a tie where every player comes down with some dripping (but curable) social disease.

I hope Texas wins myself. Will that happen, Idk? Word is, they are starting a freshman qb. He's supposed to be good though. Really, just want it to be an exciting game.

I'll take the insufferable, elitist institution that's been a train wreck recently over the insufferable, elitist institution that's won recently.

Hope ND mudholes Texas. It will be fun to watch the Texass boosters show their true colors.

I probably hate ND more than Texas; but Shaggy is more entertaining after a Texas loss, so go Irish!

Texas. I want Charlie to hang on to his job because I don't want to ever see Tom Herman in Austin. Unless he's there with his Houston team kicking Texas' ass.

Right or wrong, I continue to support Charley Strong as a potential successor to Mike MacIntyre.

The timing is everything.

So my strategy is to assume MacIntyre sticks around Boulder through atleast 2017 because this is a breakout year for CU.

Therefore Strong has to coach well enough to stay in Austin for atleast two years, but not succeed so much as to lock him in for the long term.

So basically UT has to beat Notre Dame, but lose to Oklahoma State. Beat Baylor but lose to West Virginia. Beat Oklahoma and lose to TCU.

I would rather see him win because he is a good coach and come to CU because that fan base and program are full of mangled dick faces.

I want to see Texas win because there is no way I want to see Notre Dame in the playoffs. Texas has pleanty more opportunities to lose.

Exactly. Ditto when UT plays at Cal against the Golden Webb-of-lies.

One thing here that's on the side of wanting Texas to lose: if UT is out of the national conversation early, ESPN (considering its own budget problems), may find an excuse to shutter LHN completely. They've already cut the studio show and pretty much all budget they can.

Also, UT having zero chance at the playoffs increases the PAC-12 chances of making it, esp. if UT can beat Oklahoma.

Again, ND's QB depth chart is just unfair. Malik Zaire and Brandon Wimbush on the bench...

I hate ND but if they keep rolling like this and get up a couple quick scores on Texas the Longhorns are likely to fold like a Napkin, that is just who they are.

And no I don't want Charlie Strong here in Boulder. I don't think he is a good match.

ND is far more insufferable than Texas, especially if/when they're in the conversation for the natty.
