Oregon Game...

How is everyone? Its been a while since I have dropped by and I wasn't even sure I wanted too after the ****ing debacle I witnessed yesterday. Given where our teams were only a few years ago this is going to be painful, but I fully expect Colorado to kick the **** out of my Ducks. It looks like you wont have to face Royce Freeman, you will be facing 5 freshman on the OL, a defense that is god awful and we will be missing our do it all player Charles Nelson. Oh and the most important key to your success is our HC.... I knew Helfrich would be the downfall of Oregon as soon as we hired him, but given the offensive talent he had I didn't think it would be this fast.

If we had our QB, Sefo Luifau at 100% I would probably like our chances, given the injuries to your key players and other things you mentioned. Without sefo, there is a lot of unknown with our offense.

This week, injury reports might tell the story.

For Oregon:

Royce Freeman may be out at RB.
Devon Allen may be out at WR.
Tyrell Crosby may be out at LT.

That would limit their offense a ton.

For Colorado:

Sefo Liufau may be out at QB.
Diego Gonzalez may be out at K.
Derek McCartney may be out at OLB.

Offense may be very limited, kicking game may be a train wreck, and the defense is questionable on the perimeter where Oregon lives. Getting Falo back helps a lot, but we also need McCartney for the defense to be where it can be. Buffs probably have to win this one on defense.

Helfrich was our OC under Dan Hawkins b4 he took the OC job in Eugene. Ergo...revenge.

Hard to stay mad about that. Timing was horrible, but it's hard to blame the guy for that career choice. :D

Okay, now your sandbagging. Whats wrong with nelson and we won't have sefo.

Pics or GTFO

After the loss Oregon experienced. They will be out for blood and to prove a point. This game could get ugly if the Ducks are not controlled early.

Don't get my hopes too high.
Road games are always so tough, I think both are programs learned a bit about that yesterday.
Without Sefo, I think the Buffs offense will be fairly pedestrian too; so we could see a competition of mediocre offenses.
My best guess is that the game opens with the Ducks favored by something like 9 points.

A couple years ago I would say yes, Oregon is not what they used to be and are in the beginning of a downward spiral. They also have key injuries. Even without Sefo, I think this is going to be a close game.

hello duck. i think we can win if sefo can play and play effectively. without him, i expect you guys will win. our backup qb, montez, will look better than he did at the big house, and he also caught a bad break early when he took over (hit a guy in the hands for a long td pass and the guy dropped it).

derek m. is a key piece of our defense, altho i think against you guys we won't have the same issue containing the run that we had with michigan on the edges. i could be wrong of course.

special teams are going to be a misadventure for us and our kicker is out for the year, so i think that will be the difference in your favor if sefo can't go. if he can, we're going to need to go for 2 a lot. sound familiar? lol.

If we make o throw the ball we can get em...stop the run on D.
On O we need to establish a run game. Hopefully Adkins will be able to go and knocked the rust off at um.
Instead of punting, maybe line up and either do a quick kick, or throw long passes and let the other team intercept? Lol..

Sadly, punting may be less of a concern than kicking.
As much as I pissed and moaned about Kinney yesterday, I have faith that he'll get it figured out.
I feel like Graham is a decent fallback at kicker.... we shall see.
There's nothing so frustrating as ST screwing the pooch.

It turns out punting is pretty important, because you can royally **** up and give up the ball in your territory and get scored on in two plays.

Agreed. I'm just saying there are possibly more questions to be answered by Graham than there are by Kinney.
