ed orgeron is going to be the hc for the rest of the year. speculation is that they will throw money at tom herman at the end of the season.

holy crap, the sec people are clinically insane.

Wow ... despite the shenanigans from last year re the same issue, I really did not see that coming this early in the season. Those $EC fanbases are truly deranged.

Furk.

What happens first?

UO backing up the money truck or CU fans idots lamenting the fact that MM is doing a good job this season and so RG won't fire him and bring Les back to Boulder?

Auburn boosters may be secretly pissed about winning that game and giving LSU the jump in the Tom Herman pursuit sweepstakes.

Insane. I'll be laughing my ass off when they don't get Herman and whoever they get slips to 5-7.

Have already seen a tweet at RG that Miles is available. smfh

orgeron is now officially a backstabber and will have trouble getting another job if he doesn't somehow get to keep the lsu job.

these sec people are really crazed. miles pulled in an awesome class and has like 18 starters back. sure, they got off to a slow start, but they could still win the sec title.

now they have to pay him off (and cam cameron) and hire a new super expensive coach. ... while their university system is broke. these folks have their priorities way out of whack.

Gee, Miles can sit back and reminisce while cashing checks for $10 million! Boohoo! Don't want him and his Okie Lite/ LSU/$EC sleaze anywhere near Boulder!
If he can't turn out a decent offense with all the resources and talent he had at his disposal in Red Stick, its because he's over the hill or mentally retired already.
The "Jim Mora" of the $EC!

While the timing is a bit surprising, Miles basically got a stay of execution when they decided to keep him at the end of last year. But it was pretty much a playoff or bust type of season for him.

orgeron was a rumored whisperer while he was an assistant at usc and then became their interim hc. i have little doubt that it will be revealed that he was a whisperer to the admin at lsu as well. orgeron has made a career out of the seamy dirty underbelly of recruiting from miami to now.

as for miles, yeah, he gets to laugh to the bank, but that adds to the craziness of this. do they really think orgeron is going to deliver a better last 8 games than miles and they still have to pay miles. and the idea that there would be some kind of a head start on getting a new hc is also crazy. tom herman is going to be in huge demand -- he isn't going to make a secret deal to go to lsu-- he is going to wait and test his market value at the end of the season. and the recruiting class is now going to be tough to hold together without a hc in place. and a lot of the heralded guys he brought in the last class and who aren't playing, given the number of experienced guys in front of them... they have to be looking around to transfer.

this is an amazing train wreck to watch.

oh, and i too don't want to hear anything about les to CU. we're winning and recruiting right now. there is nothing to talk about until there is something to talk about.

You're aware Miles was an assistant here and won a national title at LSU, right?

This could apply here

That's just nuts. LSU redefines delusional. Miles never has to work another day in his life. Meanwhile, LSU is bankrupting their entire school.
This is a stupid move, and it's concerning because of what they will do now.
