OK, I'm here because my daughter is currently a junior at CU. She is there because she didn't get the love at the UCs that she wanted to go to, and CU offered her an academic scholarship, plus she made the Dance Team as an incoming freshman. She loves it. That being said, I have come to just love Colorado Football starting circa 2014. (There was hardly a bandwagon starting then.) I live in Huntington Beach, and go to the games in Boulder as much as I can. I even went to the nearly empty stadium this mid-August for the Summer Scrimmage, when they let fans just wander around on the field if they wanted to. I'll be at Folsom this weekend vs. Oregon State, then next week at a meet-n-greet with AD George at the Newport Beach El Ranchito (OC's official Buffs fan site), then at the USC game in LA, then maybe the next week at Folsom. Guess what, as a walkup you used to be able to buy good seats at the last minute. Not anymore. Congrats, you long-suffering Buffs fans. This sh*t is real.

Welcome from the resident scapegoat!

Anyone paying out of state tuition deserves the complete respect from the members of this board.

@Ringer I salute you, dudehead.

Oh... She's on scholarship...

Well, I still salute you. We need SoCal support. Tell your friends how cool we are.

She's getting a significant discount on her out-of-state tuition, plus they guaranteed no rise in the (discounted) tuition rate if she graduates in 4 years, which she will. CU is making deals to poach good California students from UC schools, and we went with it. No regrets. I love that place.

Ringer, they still do the OC CU Alum meetings at the BlueWater Grill in the harbor? Miss that place (Newport), not much else though

So you are saying CU Boulder was a safety-school when she didn't get into Cal or UCLA?

She's a dancer and you didn't post a pic?

WTF? You are a noob. Time for you to shake on over to get me a sammich and a beer.

Can't ask a newbie to lie like that! You think he's Hillary?

so we have a place to crash in Huntington Beach now? and with a teenage dancer? sweet , I am in - welcome aboard then.

Welcome @Ringer! And not to worry about being a bandwagoner...for me, the more the merrier. I don't expect most fans to be the pure masochist I've been for the last 10 years . The first 15 years of being a fan were great and we have great times ahead.

As the father of a 16 year old girl, I find jokes like that to not be nearly as rage-inducing as the teenagers angling to get good looks at her at soccer practice/games.

That's when I want to snap their little twig necks.
I will tell my son to stop it, ok? sheesh!

some of y'all need jesus
