Anybody see that hit in the Tulsa/Bowling Green game?

Holy cow. I've never seen a hit like that before. The dude's helmet not only came off, but it went about 10 yards before coming to a stop.

It's out there on youtube somewhere. Has to be. I can't link to youtube from work, so somebody else will have to find it.

Seriously, this was the kind of hit that makes highlight film for years. :wow:

No question that's a great hit but I have seen a better one in which an Ohio State player was hit so hard his mouthpiece was knocked loose and flew six yards away.

Anyone else notice the irony in that clip? The announcer is whining about it being helmet to helmet (which it was) and lauding the fact that it'll be shwon over and over again as a highlight, much the same way ESPN was doing as the guy was whining. Gotta love ESPiN

I put the new DVR to good use for that hit. Super slo-mo frame by frame images. The guy is sitting there, waiting, waiting, then catches the ball and immediately tries to protect himself because he knows what's coming. Only three frames show the tackler flying into him. His helmet was a blur.

Oh man what a freakish hit.

And the guy was back in the game like 10 minutes later!!! :wow:

These douchebags need to strap their helmuts on. I swear I haven't seen a game this year in which some thug's helmut doesn't fly off. At least they aren't risking a vital organ.

9 times out of 10 it's someone with dreads too. Nate Webster of the Broncos had his helmet come off at least once a game this year.

 #1 Strap it on #2 Don't have hair that makes it so your helmet doesn't fit properly.

"Cut your hair you damn hippy", is what I gleaned from that.

Seriously? I hate to pigeonhole 'Sker fans, but come on. Next thing you'll be wanting us to get off your lawn.

And my favorite husker stereotype:

"Boy howdy, look at that corn. It's coming in great this year."

/has bad memories of family road trips to Omaha and having 30 minute conversations about farking CORN. That'll make you hate the huskers right there.

The way the tackler lowered his head to hit the other guy with the top of his helmet is vicious. I wouldn't have been surprised by an ejection. I'm surprised there wasn't flag at all on it.
