Official Phillip Lindsay Really is the first undrafted rookie in the ProBowl Thread

That number should be retired. I will NEVER forget my first Broncos game was 1997 and i was 12 and TD ran for 215 yards against the Bengals. I was mesmerized by him ever since. Love Lindsay but this is so weird for
me.

Retiring NFL numbers is a bit tricky with the big rosters and the rather strict NFL numbers rules but TD‘s argument is as good as anyone‘s in franchise history apart from one guy.

Yeah I can understand it. It’s strange to see anyone else wearing. But it’s cool that he got the permission, now Lindsay can make #30 even more memorable!

I never doubted he asked and as a local kid I’m absolutely certain he picked it for a reason, but it’ll always be TD‘s number to me and look weird to see it on another running back. Just like it’ll be weird to see a corner with 24 not named Champ Bailey.

Wow ... Rox are in the midst of an intense divisional race, CU just obliterated the Sheep, and Phillip Lindsay makes the Broncs' 53 man roster AND gets to wear #30 with TD's blessing. What a great year to be a Colorado sports fan!!
Also, the Nuggets and Avs have young teams that can make some noise and are easy to cheer for with their styles of play.

Totally. I have the Rockies tomorrow, the Buffs on Saturday’s and I bought a 41 game package from the Avs. Upper level but it was like 900 for 2 tickets for the whole season. Figured I can take the wife, nephews, brother etc. thankfully none of our teams are dreadful anymore.

I was at that game as well. What I remember more than anything from that game was that it was the only game where Ki-Jana Carter ever did anything in his career. The Broncos and Buffs seem to have a knack for allowing people to enjoy breakout career days against them.

Rockies too lol. I was 12 though, outside of TD I don’t remember much about that day. I Remember the game but the rest of the players are a blur. For years every game I attended we set records or won stuff. I saw TD and 215, 2 AFC championships (97-98), Portis and his belt and like 240 yards, mike Anderson and like 250+, deltha O’Neal and I want to say 5 INT’s that day. I’ve seen so many I would have to sit down and write them down lol. It helps when you’ve been to like 70+ games over 21 years including every playoff game but 1 haha.

2 of my wife's favorite Buffs, don't let her see this pic.

With all due respect, I'd put #44 into that company too.

Bruton was a safety. It's different to see that number on a guy who lines up behind the quarterback in the backfield.

I do wish the NFL was a little more relaxed when it comes to numbering and who's allowed to wear what number.

Go with the college rules and make it centers 50-59, guards 60-69 and tackles 70-79 and let the rest just wear any number they want.

Agree that 30 should not be worn again. (and 44,7, maybe 84.)

If any RB is going to wear it though PL is the guy. He may never have TDs talent but like TD you never, and that means never, have to worry about Phil putting in less than his absolute best while wearing it. He will never do anything that would embarrass or diminish the number.

Pretty good stat line for an undrafted rookie free agent. He is reminding me a lot of Darren Sproles. Lindsay is so fun to watch and cheer for.

If Lindsay keeps this up, he's going to be a real bargain for the Broncos...but then next year, they would have to put some real money on the table.

102 AP yards on 17 touches. As the game went on he rose to the occasion and the coaches called his number more and more. He and Freeman could be a great thunder and lightning combo.

Question is, when this team finally dumps Book, does Lindsay take #23 back or just keep rocking TD's number?

Her real name is Kate Hudson, but there was already another more famous Kate Hudson so she changed it to Katy Perry...
That's funny because her step-Dad (Kurt Russell) is actually named Kurt Douglas but there was already one of those!
