2019 NCAA Tournament Thread

Way to go Tigers!!

Now unfortunately I have to root for Sparty in order to realize my goal of not seeing Duke and/or Kentucky in the Final Four.

@dyemeduke I really can’t get a true feel for Barrett’s game. It’s weird because I understand why he gets the Jimmy Butler/DeRozan/Redd comparisons, but he doesn’t really have the east/west game those guys have (not necessarily a bad thing, I like that he gets up and down the court). He’s dynamic and can get his own shot whenever so he will translate no matter if his efficiency or vision isn’t elite yet. Idk he reminds me of a big guard more than any kind of wing, it’s really weird. He’s good tho.

This has been a really fun game of runs. Can’t believe 2nd half only has a combined 5 fouls with just less than 6 minutes left. Could be a really strange last two minutes if it stays close where fouls are necessary, but no one is close to 1:1s.

Zion is such a freak athlete but he reminds me of Blake Griffin in that they often had no idea what they were doing...just getting by their athleticism. RJ though knows how to play. I have a tough time w a true comp for him too, bc like you said, he doesnt have similar skills as other athletic wings. I guess for now I say is a better Wilson Chandler. I know you didnt like him on the Nuggets during his last few yrs, but he had game at one time. I think RJ is going to be great. He just knows how to score.

This is the first game I've watched all weekend...jealous of all you for getting to watch yesterday.

Zion is single handedly keeping Duke in this game.

*Him and the unsung hero DeLaurier.

Zion is able to get wherever tf he wants in college with these packed paints without just overpowering everyone. Much better handles than say, Julius Randle, higher IQ, better defense. He’s going to be a problem in the NBA (duh). His real height might be a fair question for some and I know people have injury concerns with how explosive he is at 285lbs but he looks like a pretty surefire superstar to me.

I hate the MSU admins that allowed the Larry Nassar bull**** happen, but I dont agree w those that throw Izzo under the bus along w MSU athletics and admins. If there is a coach I don't mind Duke losing to, aside from CU of course, its Izzo. I've always held him high esteem.

Pretty amazing to see the ACC behind 3 other conferences on this list

I was curious if it was just dominated by the top one or two schools in each conference, but it’s spread pretty well across at least the top 4 in each. If UCLA and Arizona would get their **** together...

Big 10 - MSU (3), UM (2), UW (2), tOSU (1)
SEC - UK (4), UF (1), SC (1), AU (1)
Big East - Nova (2), Louisville (2), Cuse (1), WVU (1), UCONN (1)
ACC - Duke (2), UNC (2), Cuse (1), UVA (1)
Big 12 - KU (2), OU (1), TTU (1)
Pac 12 - Oregon (1)

Idk, Duke will regret this one. They had every opportunity to win. It didn't happen, and that's ok. They won't forget it. Just to add, Cam Reddish, where you at? I guess it didn't matter if he played after all.
