What are everyone’s thoughts on how this staff is doing recruiting wise? Keep in mind how they closed the 2019 class and the 2020 class so far.

Meh. No real difference between this year and the last 12. And after we **** the bed this fall, anyone worth a **** that is already committed will look else where. We will finish in bottom 20 - 25 percent of conference recruiting rankings just like we have every other year for the past decade +.

Just because you see a punch bowl doesn’t men you have to jump in.

Honestly what's the point of being a fan if you can't even be somewhat positive and encouraged by the direction we are headed?

A-

Four star recruit at QB that was the guy the staff wanted. Beating virtually all the top 20 schools for an OT out of Georgia. Landing speed and athleticism all over the back 8 on defense. Opening up a pipeline into GA a premium talent state. More coaches than just Chev finding success especially the rookie OLB coach that looks like a staff accountant.

My grade considers the relativity to CU classes of the past 15 years. I wasn’t expecting this many quality football players in one class until the 2021 class and this class is just past the halfway point.

Solid B-. Need to see how the class finishes to move it any higher.

But given some of the past classes were in the D range, this is a nice step forward.
Is a B- in your "sand in my ass" world comparable to an A in most peoples eyes? lol

MT's recruiting is definitely winning me over. He isn't scared to go after big time players and it appears he has instilled a new culture overall in the program, not just recruiting.

I was tempted to give him an A based off his "what has Nebraska done recently" comments alone, but MT still really needs to add talent to our RB, TE, DB and DL rooms.

I don't grade on a curve.

There is plenty of room to move up with a strong finish.

Seems like people are giving grades I agree with. I was starting to think people were overly excited.

I’d give them a very solid B. The two 4 stars are great gets, not to mention some talented 3 stars with multiple P5 offers. However, there’s a couple of recruits I’m scratching my head on and wondering why we offered them.

But overall, I’ve been happy. Nothing earth shattering though. Hopefully the Buffs can go to a bowl game this year, which will help them finish off the class well!

B for me as well. Tucker and staff have landed a very good QB in Brendon Lewis, who’s a winner playing in a tough Texas league. Offensive line recruits are solid. Partially filled the TE position with Fauria and Stilwell. On defense, he’s generally recruiting longer and faster players. Downgraded for the work that needs to happen on the DL and looks like he’ll skip a RB recruit unless he reaches.

DenverBuff gets an A for trolling.

The sand in the ass comment also gets an A because it also wouldn’t be Allbuffs without it.

Kole Taylor and Marvin Mims will help move up. We also need a RB, DL, and Safety.
Thats why its way too early to assign a grade. What we have so far is a good start, but class still has potential to end up really good or disappointing. Im a little concerned about the defensive back and defensive line recruiting right now..... if we end up with 4 stars at both positions ill feel great about the class. If we whiff on those positions ill be disappointed, for example. So im not going to assign a grade yet. This class can end up an A grade or close to a D, depending how things turn out at the end

B-
There are still a few positions where we need some guys and options are getting fewer there. Need to pull some more quality DL, S, CB before that needle gets moved.

I voted B+, but agree with the substance of @Duff Man posting of B-. I do have optimism that this staff will close well and flip some dudes as the season progresses/closes. CU playing well enough to be in a bowl game will be vital.

I was going to say C+, but I'll get on board with B- or B (to me, a C is a class around the 40-50s). This class is coming together nicely, but the optimism over a new coach and disappointments over the last few years are probably making it seem a little better than what this class actually is. I think all fans should be appreciating the recruiting right now though.

HA...what's funny about your response to me is that his post didn't come off as smarmy to me, but rather, just completely unnecessarily negative-world is falling apart-etc.... ....sort of resembles another poster on these boards that freaks out in the pro sports threads all the time, getting really negative whenever something bad happens... ...................
