Official ****braska Hate Thread

Yeah I don't remember Buff nation making fun of the death of Brook Berringer-because we have more class than the "classiest fans in America".
Just keep in mind an idiot here and there doesn't represent a large group of people. That is low and unacceptable and that person deserves to get cracked in the face. But that doesn't represent all of their fan base.

My problem with that chant is I've seen it from multiple Fusker fans on twitter (not just that fat **** in Arizona)....and Sal has been gone 30 years?

Ooof. If you listen to the audio, Mel... Mel is pissed when Big Al finishes his story. He holds himself together, but you can definitely tell that the fire has been lit. He says, "I appreciate you coming on. I really appreciate you sharing that with me. I mean, that means a lot. This is a big game for all us. I just want you to know we are all in over here our coaches and our players."

You can just sense that Mel's attitude shifted towards this game in that moment. This isn't just a big game, old conference foe type of rivalry, there is some serious bad blood here.

Good twitter follow

Although I don't in any way condone what Mo did, making the comparison to Aaron Hernandez is a bit ridiculous. Mo shared a video (which he didn't record nor was in the vehicle for) that was shared with him. The actual kid taking the video got probation and he actually made the video and also shared it and the alleged rape (not sure if the rape case has concluded yet). He deserves to be punished but people out there talking like Mo raped someone or filmed a rape and that isn't the case at all.

I agree with bolded. What is being conveniently ignored by Nub fans though, is that he took the video and sent it to the victim in attempt to shame her. He was shaming (in writing) her for being abused when she was 14 years old because she didn't like him? That is pretty ****ed up....and in complete contradiction to the behaviors that Frosty publicly said he demanded out of players and recruits at the time he was hired. Why is Frosty suddenly okay with this behavior?

just used a video of rape to threaten the victim. Your program is disgusting.

Welcome back!

agree with the hernandez comparison, but - at the minimum this kid will have to register as a sex offender. At that moment he is not allowed to be around any minors. period. why wait for the inevitable? if frosts dumb ass had any morals whatsoever, the kid would be suspended.
saying all that - who ****ing cares I want to beat their dumb ass' with their best shot. If it takes a registered sex offender to do that? so be it.

Have to respectfully disagree with you here. For one- you're not saying why the Aaron Hernandez comparison is ridiculous, you are instead downplaying his actions. Secondly, Aaron Hernandez never raped anyone nor filmed a rape, either.

finally, and most importantly- you may be lucky enough to not know anyone who has been a victim of sexual assault, but I can tell you that in many cases the actual assault causes the victim the most pain and anguish of anything in their life. There are people who joke about being "triggered", but there are victims who have internalized their pain to a degree that even reading or hearing about other people's experience can cause them to relive their experience all over and can cause tremendous real pain. Taunting a rape victim about their rape shows a sociopathic disregard for the victim's well being- I'd even argue it goes beyond that and is among some of the most sadistic or cruel things you could do to a person. To taunt a rape victim about their rape WITH A VIDEO of said rape takes it to another level, and for him to have saved that video on his phone for 3 years also communicates a degree of premeditation and intent that really shows how heinous this action really was.

I understand that everyone isl innocent until proven guilty and that he didn't "rape someone," but what he did was disgusting, cruel, and illegal. Defending or downplaying it is not a good look.

No I totally agree it's ****ed up and a ****ty thing to do. He was what, 15 at the time? 15 year olds are **** heads. That's no excuse for anything but to take a young mans whole future away for something he's most likely going to plead out to misdemeanor as something he did 3+ years ago when he was a minor is a bit drastic imho. The case has already exceeded a year and a half and is most likely going to go 2+. As to Frost and the Administration's choices about him playing I can't really speculate on that and I'm sure there is a lot more to it.

nothing really to speculate. Your running game was struggling in the first half. The suspension ended after that.

Sure, but it’s creepy enough keeping a video of your ex-girlfriend being assaulted. Sending her the video and asking if she remembers it (while calling her a “hoe”) is even worse.

Um, he was 18 at the time. She was 15 at the time of the video in 2016. He sent it in March 2018 - which means he just had it on his phone for 2 FRICKING YEARS. And he sent it to her and called her a "hoe". So come off the "he was a minor" BS.

He was 18 when he was shaming her...which as @Denver_sc accurately points out, is its own form of abuse. I am sure that it is "more complicated than that", but shouldn't the integrity of the program be more important than this? Frosty says that he will not tolerate this behavior specifically...then Frosty tolerates the behavior while he awaits a decision. Quite a precedent to set! The kid is 19 years old now, you cannot honestly tell me that his life would be ruined if he were to sit out until this was resolved? He'd still have 2 more years to play FB, at least.

One more example of the hypocrisy that is fusker football

This coming from the asshole who used to cheat in the arcade, which is clearly worse than Hernandez’s crimes.

So we are clear, he did not film it as everyone is saying on here. Nor was it a rape.
