Air Force look-a-like thread

It definitely is tough to make light of these kids. Plus, my wife’s cousin went through AFA, and graduated two years or so ago, and is based in TX(?) now as a pilot. Solid and respectful kid.

I've never thought these threads were mean-spirited, so no reason to hold back out of respect for academy athletes & coaches imho. It's all in fun.

It's not like having a laugh that someone's hair style looks like a willow tree in a windstorm or that someone looks like Dave Chapelle disrespects military service.

I think we are all struggling a little to do this. Especially after the stain from last week

I just think we all have a healthy respect for the Academy, those cadets, and Troy Calhoun as a football coach. Nothing wrong with that.

Went from zero respect to complete respect in one week. And while I had hoped that we would do to the Huskers what we did (ripped out their soul and showed it to them) a win is all I would like to see this weekend.

One more thing-I hope those of us who go to this one are nothing but gracious to the Air Force people who come up from the Springs/Denver. I hope they have a blast on Saturday. Its taken way too long to make this game happen again. We'll never play yearly, but not having played them since 1975 or whatever the hell its been is awful-and our fanbase back then had a lot to do with that.

We have a ****ing reputation to uphold. Watch out, air force grandmas.

Bahhh.

This is a college football game, not a referendum defending our country. If these cadets have thin skins we've got bigger problems then losing to AFA; I'm not worried about either.

Just when I think TallBuff can’t surprise me anymore, he posts another masterpiece. You have a special gift. Thank you for using it for internet lulz.

I love these threads, but I can't do it this week.
Much respect to them and all servicemen and servicewomen out there.

Plus, my son is getting looked at for AFA Men's soccer...so who knows, might be an AFA dad at some point.
I personally don't think he'll go there, but you never know.

BIG Falcons fan when they aren't playing us.
I told my boy the other night that I"ll be rooting for CU, but if AFA pulls off the Victory, there's no way I could be mad at them for it.
