CFN - CU to finish 6-6

I was gonna jump all over this article, but it's surprisingly reasonable. I especially like that they didn't mark any game as a "certain loss".

they barely did for anyone. not much of going out on a limb on that one....

WTF are you guys referring to. Not this I hope:

"With a new head coach, Colorado State is going to be tougher than ever to get past in the always nasty season-opener"

definitely not:

"Kansas State will be far better"

Totally worthless article. We are 7-5 worse case 10-2 best case.

The only teams I can see we are true underdogs to are WVU and Missouri.

We won't lose to KU again. FSU was a learning experience last year and they are down again this year, this is a win, the Fuskers (give me a break - I don't care if it is in Lincoln - we beat them by 14).

That article was written based on last year's profile. The author gave us nothing for being a year better.

I think ISU, E. Wash, CSU, Okie St, are wins... the rest could go either way. My prediction is 7-5 with a bowl win, 8-5, not bad going into 2009 ranked.

I'd be happy with that. I pretty much agree with the article, though. 6-6 is a reasonable expectation, and 4-8 would be disastrous and is pretty much worst-case. The only thing I take issue with is the upside. 8-4 is not best case, i don't think. The chances of the Buffs going 9-3 are much higher than the chances of them going 3-9, right?

One useful tidbit. Texas faces CU the week before the Longhorn RRS matchup with OU. Coach Brown will say his team won't be overlooking the Buffs. But then again, that's what Stoops said last year and we all know how that turned out.

They won't be overlooking us, trust me. We will have just beaten WVU and FSU and will the buzz of the college football world. :smile2:

Agreed, anything is possible. 9-3 is certainly possible, even 10-2 if the team is really clicking and the new starters are stepping up more than expected. But I'm sticking with 7-5.

Yeah, that's my point. After seeing MU and KU last year I think it's pretty hard to limit our upside to 8-4. If you're gunna say the worst case scenario is 4-8, the best case scenario has to be like 10-2.

But.... not to piss people off, but the cornholes were not as bad as they seemed last year. I think that game at the end of the year could be for a lot more than people think it will be for atm.

I am going with 8-4. I think getting a split of WVU/FSU will be pretty crucial, and I want to beat both K-State and Kansas more than any other teams this year.
